Matt Corral’s Season Opener

CORRALOaks Christian junior QB Matt Corral, who is committed to USC, passed for 420 yards and three touchdowns last night in a 65-55 victory over Chaminade. He also threw two interceptions, one of which was returned to the 1-yard line, so it was nearly a pick six.

  1. Thanks for helping me out with that Wolf!!! If he had made it one more yard, it WOULD have been a “pick six”!

  2. There’s an Alabama fan who’s been publicly saying the song “Tusk” belongs to Alabama because it’s about Bear Bryant. Whatever…
But I just learned today that in the movie Forest Gump, the Alabama marching band was played by the “The Spirit of Troy” USC MARCHING BAND. How embarrassing.

    • Nice.. They have played a total of 7 games between them.. Alabama fans should be thankful of USC .We put them on the map.. SEC would not exist if it wasn’t for the 1970 game against USC.. #sambamcunningham #clarencedavis #jimmyjones

      • Two parts, one who cares and if you wish to get technical … Ucla is actually San Jose State University South.. #sjsupart2

    • I remember them filming Forrest Gump on campus. Was wondering why Tom Hanks had such a stupid haircut at the time.

  3. Nearly a pick six? Its like being pregnant; either you are or you’re not. You can’t be nearly pregnant. Did you actually watch the game Wolf? Maybe the ball was tipped or bounced off the receiver? Only a hack “journalist” would make observations based upon zero first hand knowledge, but then again, this is your stock in trade.

    • You are too young to remember the near pick six Rodney Peete threw to Eric Turner in the last seconds of the first half of the 1987 rivalry game….you should google it. It was one of the greatest athletic feats I have ever seen with Rodney stopping a sure TD that would have had the f uclans up 17-0 at half.

  4. Did you ever think that you would be critiquing 16 year old high school kids at this point in your life? Sad man

  5. 65-55? That’s how they do it in HS? All that offense gets boring when you know the defenses are terrible. Plus it’s pretty weird for old people to be interested in high school kids, outside of the coaching world. What’s happening at the mall today?
