Lane Kiffin Cannot Resist

You didn’t believe Lane Kiffin when he said last month he had not thought much about the USC game did you? Note the hashtag on his tweet that refers to getting fired at LAX. I’m not sure why he is crowing since he and his buddy (Sarkisian) helped put the program where it is now.

  1. Is that the kid he named in honor of the location of the school he ditched to go to the school that fired him? Lots of loyalty all around.

  2. This morning around 9:30 am KLAC 570 AM reported that Sarkisian has been contacted by Kiffin, acting on behalf of AL, offering a coaching position to Steve Sarkisian.

Now if that is true that is really twisting the knife inside of Haden’s chest and USC’s

  3. It’s unbelievable that this guy is rebuilding his image on the back of what Saban’s built when his track record has shown what he is when he’s actually calling shots. Do people really think it was his “offensive coordinating” that got the 52 yesterday?

  4. Let him have his day as he lost a lot in the firing both personal and financial. When he does get a head coaching job again it will again be a dumpster fire as he lack the personal skills to be a true leader.

  5. Like him or not, No one deserved to get fired in the manner he did…Haden deserves this tweet. Time to move on.

    • ‘…no one deserved…’ the money he was paid during his stint and after was huge – I could give a rip anytime any of these glorified gym rats gets sacked – they find work much faster than anyone else in any other profession.

        • You know Kiffin still, deep deep in his soul, he wants the USC job. That is what is in his craw regardless of his teasing last night – he’s done here.

          • You are delusional (as usual) he just kicked you around the playground, went deep when the game was over then sent his sweet revenge tweet.

As they say “he is in a better place”

          • It is amazing that after 3 decades USC and Alabama meet again with the former SC coach on the Tide staff.

      • That is why the entire program needs a total house cleaning. Get rid of everything associated with Haden. That’s the only way this thing is going to get turned around. Helton will win 7-8 games a year based on talent alone. But that is not the standard at USC. Bring in an entire new staff with a new set of principals about achieving prolonged success. And make sure it is the right fit for USC.

        • More than $9 million in dead HC salaries will be on the books for the school, Swann will get pressured to make a move sooner than later.. Bill Cowher has two daughters at SC.. My first call from Swann.. Bill job is yours bring whomever you want.. Lets get this right.. Bill Cowher has been seen on campus FYI.

          • I am a fan of Mike Tomlin…He would be a prize get for the program, Swann will go the NFL route.. Pittsburgh connection’s will get first call.

          • I would take Tomlinson in a heart beat. I think Helton will get two full years unless he pulls a Kiffin or Sark or worse.

          • Its Tomlin 🙂 .. I don’t see this staff for long.. Too many good coaches out there.. We are not a school that needs a on the job project.. We need an established leader that will change the culture and win right out of the gate.. We will lose our 17 class if the loses hit a high..last night was awful, 3-9 or 4-8 at best.

          • My bad, my Samsung Note is tricky with auto correct. Yesterday was a big disappointment to say the least, but we’ll find out after the Stanford game if we can expect more poor play or if we might be on the right track. Saturday is a day to found out who’s who. Is Max the guy or is Sam ready for playing time. But Helton better turn on the switch very soon because his team looked very unprepared yesterday.

          • Yep and from all the guys on social media, the kids are supporting this staff

Hutchings, Jackson and Steve T were chatting it up on twitter for everyone not to give up on the team.

          • No predictions … Haaa .. Clean game and no stomping on the family jewels .. Ruffin is sitting 1st half and is writing a apology letter as well.

          • Once he did that, Kiffin went for the jug.. Punched back harder.. Lets hope this team can figure things out.

          • It works out to a full game suspension after he missed the second half of the game Saturday.

          • Riki Ellison is on the war path.. He wrote a 1/2 page on his social media page.. Said the same, Nikias needs to go!

          • The guy means well and he may be 100% on the money, but right now is not the time for distractions. If this keeps going on then yeah, but let this team play a month of football before we start lighting torches.

          • If Helton doesn’t beat Stanford then Helton will feel the heat and it will get ugly. My pals asked me if we should still try and go to Salt Lake City for the Utah game and I said “are you serious?”. Stanford is a must win in my opinion. Oh, so is Utah St, sadly it’s come to that.

          • Helton will not last the season… Pendergast is next man up til a replacement is named ..

        • Guess what?
Lynn Swan is Pat Haden 2.0
The only thing The Swan will do better is use the alumni anger money generated by this embarrassing loss to hire a better coach.
Note to recruits: Get ready for three more dramatic transition years while this plays out.

        • look what happ. to Nebraska..they accepted medicority and they can’t even win the Big Ten West……Helton better have the boys ready to play Sat. !!

      • If I were a conspiracy theorist I would think Haden was an NCAA plant to make sure we failed miserably under the sanctions because everything he did prolonged the return to greatness. His (Hadens) actions could still be causing problems 3-5 years down the line, as the game against Bama probably scared a lot of potential recruits away, it was that embarrassing.
PS Trump is a plant for Hillary Clinton, no other explanation as that man has all the dirty goods on her (Libya, Ukraine, DNC, Sec St email scandal, pay to play Clinton Foundation) I mean she is a 500lb duck in a 500 gallon barrel, shoot her (metaphorically) already! Yet he spends all his time trying to get voters to run to her party:)

        • You’re not smart enough to be a conspiracy theorist even before you get into the Maui Wowie.

          • The only conspiracy going around is contagious pneumonia, so let’s go get my grand daughter sick at my daughter’s apartment then get a photo op 90min after leaving 9/11 ceremony of me walking down the street with my anti bobble head(parkinsons glasses) blue tinted sunglasses.

        • “He spends all his time trying to get voters to run to her party ???” I’m not running, Polynesian Polly.

          • When his response to “pneumonia” is “get well” and his sons is warm up the gas chambers, I think I’m on point, he/camp is terrified of being president and will say anything to make it go away.

        • You’re right about Haden. Unfortunately 99% of the media are kneepad wearing Clinton interns so no matter what Trump says they spin it against him while Hillary hides in Martha’s Vineyard with the billionaire libs. Her strategy is to run out the clock because polls show people like her more when she disappears and they don’t have to listen to that finger nails on the chalk board voice.

    • Actually, I thought that was one of Haden’s few fine hours. The Kiffer deserved everything he got, just like Sark. The Tarmac was one shining moment!

    • Kiffin really does seem to be an immature ego-maniac, but I’m not sure I blame him on this one. He was fired before he got home that night and the rumor I heard was that he was begging for his job and that he just asked PH to let him finish the season. He said that if he couldn’t right the ship before the end of the season then at seasons end he would resign. The rumor goes that PH said “hold on I have to make a phone call” and left for a few minutes and then he came back and said “I’m sorry but we can’t give you anymore time”. I don’t know whether that’s true but if it is, then they should have given him until the end of the season. Who knows what might have happened. He is a great Offensive coach and he had coach O and Clancy on defense. He might have turned out to be a great head coach. I can see why he is mad.

  6. Perfect example of Lane Kiffen not being mature enough for a head coaching job. Would Urban Myer, or Nick Saban do that ? probably not, because they are professional, and they act like it.

    • Well said – Kiffin’s revenge and seething need to ‘prove’ himself is glaring. You’re right he isn’t head coaching material

    • The Kiffer is definitely a spoiled child. He kicked our fanny last night but I’m very glad he’s gone. Same with Sark, his best bud.

It’s a shame we’re now stuck with Helton and now can’t seem to get out of our own way. Bizarre how USC football has fallen. Hope Swann has a miracle cure up his sleeve. That’s USC’s only chance for now and at least Swann has great access to winning football minds. There can be no doubting that. He got to see everything up close and personal last night. Wonder what he thought?

      • Exactly, and like you said, Swann’s much more connected to quality coaches, then the Clown that turns his cheek to low character, idiots.

      • Helton will get two years max no matter what because he has a five year contract. If he is smart if SC has two decent years he can jump ship to another program.

        • That’s another thing I don’t understand in the least. Why you give a five-year contract to an unproven, marginal guy who would give his right arm for the job is beyond me. Seems ridiculous that he doesn’t have a three-year gig. Stupid, which is why we are still paying Lane Kiffin who would have done anything to get out of TENN to come to USC.

          • He (Helton) had a good sharp suit negotiate the deal knowing how fouled up the program was after Sarkisian got sacked and the thin possibility that Helton might have been offered a job elsewhere after the victory over bel-air tech – also Haden needed something to get the focus off himself due to the incredibly detailed and complex mess Haden had made after Garrett was fired.

          • I refuse to believe that Helton would have taken a five year offer from Memphis over a three year from USC. Not happening. He had one shot at USC in his entire lifetime and he would have taken it, regardless of the suits in the room.

USC just gave it away. Such poor leadership. I know at least 10 USC transaction lawyers who could have got a better deal for USC than they got. Institutional stupidity at its worst.

          • You’re right per Memphis but in any negotiation the smart move is to make the other side throw out the 1st proffer and Helton was sharp enough to let an expert lead the way.

          • And I would have countered for USC, and said right up front we have a possible deal breaker here because we’re only offering three years to those candidates with no previous strong HC experience. You can understand our position after the Kiffer and Sark, right.

Of course, if you don’t have the balls to walk away from any deal, you’ll lose every time.

          • Are there any details on how enforceable certain aspects of the deal are? You guys don’t have to release details, but is there a chance his buyout isn’t what it would be for most other coaches?

          • My point is I don’t think USC even cares much about protecting itself in these deals. It’s just become how business is done in Trojanland now. We literally chose Helton because he was the guy our players wanted, somebody soft, which is why our big uglies are the big softies now.

You gotta laugh if you’re an SC honk because the picture is clear now and we won’t be complaining about too many Rose Bowls in a row anytime soon.

And the truth is, we’re still good for the Pac-12. Tough Catch-22 situation. We stink but are still good enough at the same time.

          • Yeah. Tough to disagree with this. Forgetting the Pac-12 as a whole for a second, the SEC has taken their commitment to football to another level. Every coach in the SEC West makes over $4mm a year. Not a single coach makes that in the Pac-12 (Shaw might, but Stanford’s private, so no way to know). Think about that for a second, coaches in places like Tuscaloosa, Fayetteville , Oxford, Starkville, College Station and Baton Rouge, make more than guys that coach in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle and Phoenix.

          • There is simply more of commitment to football in the SEC than the Pac-12 right now. Look at their facilities as compared with the rest of the conference. SC, Oregon, and Arizona have stepped up to the plate, but where are the rest. Also, look at the t.v. deal the SEC has compared to the Pac-12. Larry Scott is a buffoon compared to Mike Slive. But, at least, Australia, gets the Pac-12 network.

          • Scott deserves plenty of blame, although there are macro factors that make his job far more difficult than his counterparts in the SEC and Big 10. At the end of the day college football is an entertainment product and there is far less competition for entertainment in the south and the mid west than there is along the pacific coast. I think every Pac-12 school has built or is in the process of building a new football facility, but we still have a ways to go.

          • I’m also talking about the fan bases as well. To the people of Alabama, their football team is damn important and they will not tolerate nothing less than a great effort game in and game out. This level of expectation filters down to the players and coaches. Remember, it was not that long ago that Bama was in the basement after the Mike Shula fiasco.

          • Perhaps Pete Carroll lulled the fan base to sleep with his success and everyone thought a Pete Carroll assistant would continue the dynasty.

          • I still can’t believe you lost to A&M yesterday. They were not impressive, tried to give you the game and the Aggie playcalling was borderline psychotic. Made me think I should get into coaching very late in life. In the end, a lot of Aggie fans were clearly surprised they somehow won after one of the worst 4th Qs I’ve ever seen a team put together. It reminded me of the ’96 USC/ucla contest when USC just handed you the game. Well, A&M tried hard to give it to you yesterday but you refused to take it.

You must be beyond frustrated. I don’t know what was worse yesterday, getting killed by a great, perfectly-coached ALA team or losing a nailbiter to a mediocre, sketchy A&M squad. It’s a close call.

          • Sumlin is like SC right now, all style and no substance. He’ll win seven games this year and get smoked by Bama, and get fired.

          • No question we left a lot on the field yesterday. Dropped passes and two terrible picks cost us dearly. Considering how smart the media has made Rosen out to be, he clearly still hasn’t learned some of the basics, like taking a sack on 3rd down instead of throwing blind errant passes or throwing the ball away late in the game, instead of forcing a ball into double coverage.
I thought KP was fine, he drew up a several plays that should have gone for six, but it’s tough to blame him for dropped passes or missed throws. To answer your question, I think there were a few positives to take away from UCLA in the 4th qtr, I’m not sure USC can take anything away the Bama game. Our loss was more heartbreaking, yours was more demoralizing.

          • The major positive USC can take away is pure shame. I think that can be a great motivator, but after yesterday, I think we’re all a little less hung up on Trojan possibilities than we were at this time yesterday.

I really like the shame factor though and think it’ll set some fires that need setting.

          • UCLA didn’t quit when it was down 24-9. USC did quit when they were down 7-3 in the second quarter. That is all on coaching and player leadership.

          • The way SC performed against Alabama, Texas A & M would of beaten the Trojans 36 to 6. If A & M is a “sketchy squad”, my God, how would you describe your team?

          • Well he didn’t walk and now we have what the administrators wanted another nice guy they can control, then again I think Sarkisian fit that mold as well.

          • Jack, be careful. You’re talking about the impectible leadership of Patrick C. Haden. He is an amazing leader and mentor, just as his daughter and son in law.
            #sarkgetssc

          • Haden’s a lawyer in name only. Not in real life. It’s stunning how inept some people turn out to be when the facts are known. Of course, since Haden got such a cushy K, he probably felt that USC can stomach anything, which is why he agreed to pay buddy J.K. 850K to be a practice monitor. Then Swann comes in and capitalizes on all of that, so the likelihood of it ever ending is nil. SC’s a cash cow and loaded to pay – an easy mark nowadays. We get what we deserve. Obviously, we don’t deserve much nowadays.

Thank God we play in the Pac-12 South. If we don’t sweep these crumbs, we’ll know we’ve really got problems.

          • After last night’s debacle one of two things are going to happen. 1.) This coaching staff and players comes into the Utah State game and the rest of the season with a completely different mind set and starts playing the game and conducting themselves they way they should. 2.) They stay with the same mentality they had last night, with no sense of urgency and a lack of effort and leadership, and have a four to five win season. If that happens, I cannot imagine the big money donors sitting idly by.

          • I think the staff has compromised itself for good. Last night is permanent, unerasable. Sorry Helton. You’re in the record books and the public’s long memory. We’ll just call you Mr. Timeout from now on.

Obviously we’ll play much better this year. We could probably do that with no coaching at all.

But the coaches have been busted and we’re stuck for at least two years. Some of our players like Iman Marshall and Zach Banner are so over-rated, I don’t even blame the coaches. And then we have the ne’er-do-wells like Ruffin, Masina and Hill. Surely, there are more.

We’ll get a lot better, just from shame alone. Too bad. Some of the totally outstanding kids on our team deserve so much better.

I don’t think Browne’s got what it takes at QB either. Just another problem for Helton to ask for a time-out on.

          • Banner, Marshall, and others are the perfect example of the star system gone amok. Both were so-called 5 star players in high school, but they have never been challenged to become better at USC. I knew that Banner would be a bust this summer. When a player is constantly in the media hamming it up, that player is usually covering up for some serious deficiency. Marshall has been nothing but a target for opposing offenses. He lacks proper fundamentals at corner because he has always depended on natural talent to get by. Now those days are over.

          • If Jack Jones can’t beat out Marshall at CB, we’re obviously weaker than we thought talent-wise.

          • You are 100% right. Banner has never done anything and yet they were projecting him as a possible All American this year based on his pedigree.

          • You may be right, but the big money donors didn’t do much over Sark and the Helton hire. Sure hope they get a clue soon.

          • 3) they enjoy a laugher against talent-poor Utah State, think everything is fine and then face reality once again the following week against Stanford. They have the raw talent to beat the Arizonas and Utahs in spite of the coaching staff.

          • When they announced his contract I was dumbfounded and still am. Seems USC isn’t very good handling their money, or at least the athletic department isn’t.

    • it thought it was a pretty subtle jab…anyway, who’s to say the photo was not taken at LAX? i’m not convinced it was a slap to Southern Cal’s face….but his playcalling sure was!! loved his going on 4th and throwing in the 4th Qtr!!

      • Believe it or not, I’m glad Kiffen rubbed it in USC’S face on national television, because maybe now , the administration will wake the hell up.

      • Hs anyone seen CowPolyFan3.0 and Helen? I heard they got drunk after the game and eloped at the Elvis Chapel in Vegas.

        • talk about an unholy union…but T-Fail will claim he was on a top secret mission for the CIA….Don’t bother asking, it’s CLASSIFIED!!!

          #I’mGonnaBarf

        • I’m guessing CowPoly is camped outside of Nikias office and Max is processing a restraining order.

      • That was a nice Kiffin/Carroll touch. I’m guessing SoCal fans like his late game deep throws more than they liked the ones last night.
The guy is a first class Richard and always will be.
He overpaid his Dad, fired him and now is throwing deep on a dead team just to P them off.
He is in a lack of class by himself.

  7. Kiff is riding high, wolfman!! even though he offended you, you got him back wolfman, let it go!!

gotta give credit where due: he totally DESTROYED the team that fired him, but still has the respect of all his former players!!! kudos to Saban for taking him off the leash!! LOVED how he was going for it on 4th down and throwing the ball with the game already a blow out in 4th Qtr!!!

total “Screw YOU” to Sothern cal!!!

    #Chortle

  8. 1. You don’t fire a coach at 3-4 in the AM,
    2. You don’t fire him at the airport.
    3. You don’t do all of the above and then tell the coach that he cannot ride with his team home to campus and keep him away from saying a final goodbye to his players and coaching staff.

    Lesson learned.

    • that’s a lesson you have to learn???

sounds more like common sense or human decency….or wait, we now know Haden, the Tuition Thief, had neither.

      #MyBad

      • Not my lesson. I agree with you. And any decent person would agree. You don’t treat people like that and don’t handle buisness like that.

        • Vin Dawg just mentioned Kershaw will pitch against the Marlins, so we will hear at least one more Kershaw game called by Vin Dawg when they come home for homestand.

          • That’s awesome. Our two rookie pitchers are pitching better than every start except KSHAW, Mazda and Hill. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were part of the rotation permanently going forward. Puig even it a 3 run shot. Glad Kershaw is back against the Marlins. Vin needs to give the team a Pete talk.

      • You never know, but Haden did everything wrong in the football department and even left without giving an I-owe-you or an apology about the Scholarship/charity scandal. I’m pretty confident Swann will do a better job.

        • Sam, a lot of Trojans enjoyed it when Kiffin did that to UCLA in the 50-0 game. Shoe is now on the other foot. Maybe you will get an opportunity for payback like UCLA did. Probably not against Alabama but he will probably get another head coaching job one day. Maybe in the PAC-12.

          • I don’t want any payback on Kiffin. If we were to come across him in the future I would like to beat him, but I have never had anything against him. He tried at SC, he could’ve handled some things differently. But the fact is he wasn’t ready to be the USC head coach. It was time for a change, but we smacked him in the face with his firing. That’s something that I will always feel was too harsh and cold. A part of me will always feel good that he will at least get to have the last laugh with Pat Haden.

          • When the Dream Team of assistant coaches fell apart during the Kiffin hire I knew it wasn’t going to turn out well.

          • In that game UCLA did what USC did last night…they quit. When you quit you deserve to get embarrassed.

          • Man did they ever – that effort in OT was sad – esp. the 3rd down play to the sideline. But hey that’s what bel-air tech football is famous for on the other hand re. USC….

          • Well I saw him yelling, just before the ball sailed towards him “I quit!” and he did.

            There that’s that!

          • I just fired up the replay, must have missed it the first time, good catch by you. Off topic, I highly recommend you listen to Malcolm Gladwell’s new podcast, Revisionist History: episodes 4,5,6 are on topics we’ve discussed before.

          • Why did Mora have some scrub out there in crunch time instead of Johnson? Someone else posted there are rumors of mass suspensions- what are they saying on the ruin boards about that?

          • Not sure who you’re referring to, but Roberts dropped the ball and he’s hardly a scrub. The guy had 6 catches for 60 yards and was fine until that second to last play, in fact I’d bet most UCLA fans would have him as one of the 2 or 3 guys they’d want to be put in the position he was, prior to letting a game tying catch go right through his hands. Are you talking about Mossi Johnson? I’ve also heard about a mass suspension and that it will continue through UNLV with other players sitting out, but Mora usually keeps a tight lid on that stuff.

    • Agreed 100%. This should have been the first tip off that Haden was not up to the level of this job. Would it have killed him to wait five hours and meet with him at USC the next morning? The bigger blunder was not keeping Coach O. He had those kids believing on one another and trusting the coaching staff. If Haden couldn’t have found a better coach than Coach O, then he should’ve stayed with him. But to hire Sark, who was one year away from getting canned at UW, shows complete managerial malfeasance. Remember his quote, “Sark gets SC”? I’m still trying to figure out what that means.

      • Yeah, when I heard Haden’s famous “Sark gets SC” my first thought was everyone gets SC. Just like everyone gets ND or Alabama or Oklahoma. That doesn’t mean they are the right man to coach them.

      • The first tip was using the weekly email newsletter to blast fans and boosters who didn’t love his end zone to end zone PSL plan. If you could do the math, you could see that Haden was both a moron and a jerk.

        • Pat has all the signs of someone who is incompetent. 1.) Cannot take constructive criticism based upon facts. 2.) Will not take practical advice from those who have more wisdom and experience. 3.) Will always make him/herself the center of the conversation. 4.) Will blame others for their mistakes and/or not agreeing with them. 5.) Will make decisions based upon what is best for them and not the organization.

    • Any word on Chuma Edoga’s knee injury? It didn’t look good that they left him in when he was clearly in pain and couldn’t block anyone.

    • The big dollar alums really run this program like at most schools..Haden was was ordered to axe the Kiff.

  9. Couldn’t just get the W and walk off into the sunset, stoically, could he? I think running up the score was enough of a big f-you to USC. What a tool.

  10. Good for Kiffin. I’m glad he stuck it to this administration and clowns like Scott Wolf. Wolf, you have never played football or any sport but sit up on a high horse. The only person responsible for this mess is Patrick Haden. He was the sanctions.

    • Hey ‘Wonderland Drive’ they’re paid a lot of money all of them to make good decisions. Kiffin is a great assistant – that’;s all he is – good riddance to him.

      • It’s Wonderland Ave. Pat Haden and his archaic staff destroyed USC. He embarrassed the University multiple times. Not even including what he was doing with “all the money” he was paid. His ego and arrogance was pathetic.

  11. O.K, Kiffen had an axe to grind, and I don’t blame him the way he was callously and classly fired by Haden.

Still, the guy is not head coach material, until he gets rid of that ridiculous “Denny’s” menu in his face. “Will it be regular fries or well done, Mr. Kiffen.”

  12. There is more to all this, and until objectivity takes over nothing will be learned or settled….KIFFIN and staff came in when no one else would, and obviously still won’t. Nobody is beating down the door .IN FACT people refused. He was fired by a low class jerk in a low class way, that any normal person would take offense to,normal person, got that. Sark was offered the job and at good pay,he said yes.SC offered to hire him away from Washington, instead of hiring the person I would have chosen ,then head coach, now at LSU Ed ‘O’ . Then the same AD hired Helton,he accepted. GUESS who is to blame, the people who hire them. LIKE voting, blame the voters for choosing, not the dummy they chose. All these guys did or are doing their best…if they are not coming up to the standard, blame the ones who hired them.

  13. To butcher a phrase from Al Davis, “JaKiffin is a good coach!” I put this whole debacle on Haden. Kiffin needed some coaching. Saban invested in that. Haden just made a mess of things. And Scott, I’m still sorry that you got personally rebuked for the injury report, but that was much more Haden micromanaging the program than Kiffin behaving badly. And Sark, well, Saban seems to think he’s redeemable too, which makes our program look all the sillier when he pulls it off.

I hate to see the Trojan family as butt hurt about Kiffin’s success as Tennessee fan has been. We fired him. We shouldn’t be hurt. We shouldn’t feel like last night vindicated him. But it did. Weird, eh?

    • I don’t think any of us are hurt by the Kiffer’s success. Good for him, but there’s 25 OCs out there that could have drilled us good yesterday. The Kiffer is also really good at ALA because he has better players and coaching support than everyone.

But the Kiffer’s success doesn’t diminish his childish, immature post-game antics. That’s just who he is, the smart aleck who can’t help but rub people wrong. At USC, he rubbed many of his assts wrong, which is one reason he failed at SC.

And last night didn’t vindicate the Kiffer as much as it indicted Helton – at least in my eyes. We weren’t ready. If we had been, things could have looked a lot different.

  14. “Where is Pat Haden, the world wonders?!”

A quote from a famous query from Nimitz to Halsey in Oct. 1944 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf

      • That or his investment adviser

“What happens if I have to pay back 1/2 of what I glommed?”

“Well Haden that’s be about minimum $500K and another 50% if you do the same with your sister-in-law and daughter.”

        “That much?”

        “Yeah”

“Hmmm hey how about these dot com stocks that I bought back in 1997? I know they’re not worth what I paid for them but they’re still a stock right?”

“Got me – what few are still kicking are either based in Russia or China. I think they’ve had about 6 reverse splits maybe worth 1/10th of a percent of what you bought them for but hey you’ll do the right thing here I’m sure.”

“Let me get back to you on that…..1/10th of a percent….man I could always dress them up as an asset for the foundation’s future….got that round of golf over at Brookside this afternoon….sure glad I’m no longer the AD….thing’s will work out…they always do for me….they always do.”

    • Yeah that’s the rumor that was stated around 9:30 am this morning ob KLAC – Kiffin spoke to Sarklisian about coming on the AL coaching staff.

  15. Kiffin needs to do the right thing and send that game ball to Haden. Without Haden’s incredible leadership, last night would not be possible.

  16. Kiffin sucks. Alabama is all about the head coach. They were winning before Kiffin and will win after him. He’s useless.

  17. Love It, I was one of the few Trojans who lobbied to keep Kiffin and fire Haden. I was right then as I am now. How do you fire a coach who was under the most ridiculous sanctions (criminal when the kids health are taken into account, which they weren’t) in CFB history? The reason we lost to Arizona St, was simple, kids were gassed by second half. Just like they had shown in previous games, can’t expect 18-19 year old kids to play 70 snaps a week and be okay the following. But whatever, Haden is finally gone and Kiffin had every right to post that and it was directed to Haden and Nikilas gutless actions. Fight On!
