  1. Has USC contacted Les Miles Yet ? Oh man, if we get him then Ed O will come and Dave Aranda, and Ed can find Miles a OC and well, I’m just so out of breath thinking about it, ooh eee. Maybe Ed can talk to Norm Chow, maybe he”ll be the OC !!!!! With that staff, we’ll get every recruit, we would never lose !!

  2. On that note Kyle Whittingham would be a fine choice after the big dogs. At least he’s PROVEN.

    • Mora is stuck Ucla, even they want him gone and want Herman.Ucla pipe dream. Lol

Stanford punched them in the mouth. ..lol 0-9

    • I said that on this forum and I got criticized. The guy is a proven winner. But speaking about recruiting, Peterson had the best record in college football in his 8 years at Boise State and he beat some big schools(like Oregon, Georgia, TCU, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and others) and yet in 8 years at Boise he had no 5 stars and one 4 star. All of his recruits were 1,2 and 3 stars. Yet PH passed over him because he didn’t interview well so why should I be surprised that that they passed over Whittingham?

      • After 1.John Harbaugh 2. Jon Gruden 3. Jack Del Rio

Whittingham was my outside favorite. He’s been nothing but consistent during his time at Utah and has beaten some good programs. Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. He knocked off Oregon. He’s beaten SC. HE DEVELOP’s DEFENSIVE LINEMAN…….. He’s a proven winner.

        • I like him better than Gruden. Gruden has been out of this business too long. I’m still not sure about Del Rio. With him it’s wait and see. Because he was a good DC doesn’t mean that he will be a great HC. Norm Chow was the best in the business and yet he never had the personality to be a HC. But so far Del Rio looks promising. I’d love to have John Harbaugh. I know that he wanted that UCLA job bad. He was begging for it after they fired Karl Dorrell. They went with Neuheisel because he was a UCLA grad.

          • I’m too young to have seen Del Rio play. But from what people around USC, plus NFL players say he has the “it” quality.
PS. Harbaughs wife wanted him to coach at USC. Supposedly there was a meeting after a Ravens game last year between “USC officials (not Haden) and his wife said she would like to live in Los Angeles. He only entertained coming to college I’d it was Los Angeles”

          • Del Rio was a stud. Reminded me a lot of Cameron Smith. As far as Harbaugh meeting with SC….that is something that I had never heard of…..thanks for the info. But I did hear a lot of rumors(and I can’t verify them) that his wife did want to live in SoCal. The reason why I always thought that he would have been a great pick is because if they hired him, he would find a way to get us into the hunt for a national championship. Michigan is going to be outstanding in years to come. I just can’t believe that his ego would allow his brother at Michigan to be going 12-2 and 13-1 while he’s going 9-3 and 8-4.

          • At the time I had subscriptions to USC-scout/rivals/247. It was gaining speed. Harbaugh was in reach. Then it hit a wall the week of the UCLA game.

          • Yeah, Del Rio is going to leave the NFL for USC, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, you guys make me laugh at your utter stupidity

          • You had better go back and read what I said. I never even said that he was going to leave the raiders. Actually, if you’ll just bother to read what I said, you’ll see that I never even said that I wanted him. He was mentioned by Sam as someone that he would like to see come to SC. I said that if he were willing to come to SC, at this point, from what I know about him, I’m not sure that he would be my pick. Here’s a little helpful hinter: Read first, then analyze, then talk. That always beats talking first and thinking later.

        • Whittingham signed a long term contract extension with Utah for big $$$$$$ last year.

I think Utah would play HB with bozo u if it tries to recruit Coach Whittingham.

      • Interview was a farce … Haden had Suck hired the day Kiffin was tarmaced
Turned out well FOR THE HUSKIES !!!!

        • Not true. Petersen could have had the SC job if he wanted it. He was very interested for a long while but after he thoroughly vetted the situation, he didn’t want it at the end and that’s when the Drunk slid in. The night before the hiring, Petersen was reported to be on the verge of signing. That’s because he had an offer from Haden, but when he got back to Haden later that night or the next morning and after that final conversation, Petersen decided to pass.

The Drunk was never the first choice until the very end. This would prove to be the undoing of Haden, who screwed up the Petersen sell job for reasons many have said included demanding approval on assts and too much meddling.

Ironically, a meddling AD is our only salvation for the rest of the season with Gomer.

      • What is your argument with USC. What do you bring to the table besides your BS? You know everything right? (cough, cough).

What do we need to do? Who should be hire? How do we go about hiring him?

        I’m listening??????????????????????

  3. USC hasn’t played up to their talent level since Pete Carroll left, so it’s obviously the coaching. Lane Kiffen, Steve Sarkisian, and Clay Helton don’t have a clue as to how to develop players.

    • Yep. Recruiting is not a big deal because we don’t coach up our players. EXAMPLES….Chris Hawkins, Quinton Powell, Leon McQuay, etc. All highly recruited. All mediocre.

    • Fred, both Kiffin’s and Sark’s biggest problem was they had horrible assistants. Nobody worth a damn wanted to work with them.

  4. Use to be the teams with the most talent would win most games. Not anymore. Whatever “talent” a kid has when he gets to college doesn’t mean jack if the coaches don’t know how to coach, don’t know how to develop players, don’t know what they’re doing. I feel bad for these USC players. The are innocent victims being taught by teachers with no credentials.

  5. metamucus is truly a pitiful little gutty. One of the most helpless. They all can’t believe they blew yet another chance to accomplish even a small thing in football – win a big game.

It was a very tough Saturday for the bruins in that uncomfortable stadium that bans them every January. Imagine what it’s like not to win a Rose Bowl in 30 years. Show some mercy. Let the little gutties grieve.

  6. Three fumbles deep in your opponents territory and two unnecessary penalties will TRUMP the recruiting rankings
