Steve Sarkisian Makes $35,000

sarkisian-celebrateThat’s his salary at Alabama according to AL.com. Remember he agreed to enter binding arbitration to determine how much of the remaining $12.6 million from USC.

  1. Dumb & Dumber together again.
I trust he has found a more creative way to hide his “entertainment expenses”

  2. According to Sports Illustrated Charlie Strong will be fired at seasons end. Tom Herman will be at USC next season….

As coach of the Texas Longhorns.

    • Maybe – it’s the best job in the Big 12 conference and he’s already seen what living in Texas is all about at Houston. If Swann is seriously thinking of making a change he must be using cut outs for a sales pitch to Herman and who wouldn’t want to be in LA weather compared to the sweltering humidity of Austin?

          • She is rumored to like Texas (the state lifestyle). I’ll say this, the Big 12 is expanding so it will be an extra game with the conference Championship game added, I think they already play 9 conference games or will, and the Pac12 South has no “flagship program” since becoming the Pac12. A lot to consider, but who knows Texas may shoot higher.

          • It will come down to cost of living or if they actually want to live in LA. USC is not a total mess as some think.. the right coach will make a difference..

          • We have to at least feel out the interest of coaches. Del Rio, and Peterson prove that point.

          • The line to coach Sam will be long.. NFL guys and several top college coaches…The only ones that know at this point are the agents..

          • The Big 12 is on old per expansion – the oft rumored ‘announcement’ has yet to gain any serious ‘final 2 let alone 4’. Life is good in Texas – no state income tax, unlike California they have a part-time legislature to prevent professional socialist activists holding power.

Tad hot in the Summer but great attitude towards business and common sense.

          • At this point I think the pressure of winning is a tie. He will have to consider the pressure of winning. Texas boosters are more hands on.

          • The bottom line is USC isn’t ready to move. TEXAS is. That’s the ball game, right there.

          • Then he’d be a fool to go to TX rather than USC – we shall have far more patience based on the past 8 years.

          • The USC job will not open up this year unless we have a losing record. Won’t happen with the weak Pac and a poor ND team this year.

We’re stuck! Learn to love it. USC football. Still in the woods.

          • Maybe waiting is the best move right now…I know all the love for Herman but Klatt maybe right about the short ‘film’ on him 1.25 seasons and sudden;y that FL: St. team isn’t all that impressive. Not saying he isn’t a good find but I’d like a bit of pulling back and wait.

          • Does she have “big hair”? That’s the tip off.
The way Texas pays, she will never, ever feel a whiff of heat or humidity unless she decides to walk from bar to bar in Austin (which is a solid plan)

          • The blonde from Road House had big hair and big ****. I don’t know about Herman’s wife.

          • First rational thing I’ve heard you say.
Got to give you a thumbs up on that one

      • USC doesn’t have the guts to go for Herman and beat out TEXAS, at least not based on what I heard this morning.

So we can stop talking about Herman. Not only are we not ready to move, but TEXAS is simply more devoted. I didn’t know Herman had a Masters at TEXAS. Forget about it. He’s gone.

        • What exactly did you hear? What was the source? I’m asking because if what you say is true than just what is Lynn Swann’s strategy?

I see two potential losses – WA and bel-iar tech…I think we win the rest based on Darnhold’s leadership and skill set and that makes everyone play better.

          • Jack, while I don’t doubt you, but if that’s true then Tom Herman and Texas will embarrass USC the next two seasons while Herman returns the Longhorns to the top. If Swann doesn’t have that thought in his head than he’s a freaking fool!

          • Bad timing. Herman’s in year 3 and he’s clearly toast. Gomer’s in year 1 and even a lot of USC fans want to give him year 2. I wish Swann wanted to move on right now because I don’t believe Herman-types come along every year. But TEXAS would probably beat us for him even if we bid. They’re in a better spot than us to move and they’re gonna take advantage of it. Oh ya, they are. Bye bye Herman. It was nice dreaming.

          • I hear ya. But that will be the ultimate fudge up if Swann has the opportunity to at least guage how Herman feels about USC and they kick our butts in consecutive years. A national comedy. This has punch line written all over it.

          • Herman signed December 2014 w. HOU – it’s the start of his 2nd year there not his 3rd.

  3. $35K in Alabama goes about as far as $12million in California, so it’s a wash.

  4. Wolf, with all due respect (and of course much respect is due), that incomplete/awkward sentence has left us hanging at the edge of our seats!

    What does it all mean??!!

  5. Wolfman,
Do they do that coach jumping/bumping/mounting thing at Bama?
Don’t watch much SEC but I haven’t seen it.
Perhaps they brought Sark on to bring that very, very hip trend to the very un-hip SEC.
Do they have koi ponds down there?
