  1. Before we draw any conclusions from this let’s remember that there are always two sides to every dollar. I mean story.

      • That loss last night is the key i.e. they have to return to Wrigley no matter what.

Roberts is a great manager for his 1st year. I so wish the LAA would jettison Scoscia and his brilliant move back in 2011 in demanding trading Mike Napoli and Juan Rivera for Vernon Wells. The LAA – GM Tony Reagins sidelined as Scoscia took over everything and I do mean everything – 16 years why?

        • Yeah, giving home field adv. back at first opportunity never helps. Plus you get blown out and then drop the next one. I had to turn it off in the 8th. They’ll be boozed up and ready to go in Wrigley. Tough spot to be in.

The situation has gone stale in Anaheim.

Not giving up on the Dodgers, but between them, USC and the Lakers, losing is getting really old. We’re year round losers out here now.

          • Kershaw’s finally pitching like the “Best Pitcher on the Planet” and the bats fall asleep. Now the pressures on him. Again.

          • Yeah, the Cubs are hot and we are not. I can’t even fault the lineups or anything Roberts is doing except not being really aggressive when we do get someone on base. We gotta cash in when we have the shot to. We’ll see where Kershaw’s arm is, but he’s never been the same pitcher in the playoffs as the reg season. He pitched great last time out and apparently if the Cubs exceed his ERA, we’ll lose.

          • Our leadoff men not getting on base has been devastating. Utley is Utley, but he’s not even getting to first base. Kershaw is gonna need more than 1 run this time. And we have to take advantage of the base running. We left at least 4 stolen bases out there in the first 5 innings. Lester never even attempted a pickoff and we had those huge leads from the base.

          • Yeah, we’ll need a gem from Kershaw for sure. There’s no reason to hold anything back now and I think we better ride Kershaw as long as we can.

          • I agree. Roberts will put it on Kershaw and then Jansen. I don’t see the bullpen contributing in game 6.

          • Bingo. Pedersen trying to bunt with two out when Maeda’s up next…….Not smart baseball.

          • Worst possible time. Utley needs to turn it on. We need some doubles from Seager. Pedersen and AGON need to swing away. Kershaw’s good for at least holding Chicago to 3 runs, but the bats have to start hitting again.

          • We can do it. It’s a tough road ahead, but we have a good ball club and baseball is a streaky sport. 2 games can be done. I don’t have to tell you that Dan, you’ve been on the ball field. Win game 6 and anything can happen.

        • What happened to Jeff Mathis in 2010? He went from best to worse defensively and was always an offensive liability. He was Scoscia wonder boy and flopped. Then Napoli hits dingers for Texas. Scoscia can’t grade-out catchers? When do the Angels get a third baseman? I digress.

          • Mathis couldn’t hit ‘but’ he was the kind of catcher Scoscia liked i.e. someone he (Scoscia) could control. I’m not kidding Scoscia made it a pet project to trade Napoli and look at what Mike Napoli has done since – played for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians and all three have been to a world series. Compound that mess with Moreno’s idiocy in getting that troika of clowns – Pujols, Wilson and Hamilton. Trout is going to book in 3 years thanks to Arte and Mike’s great moves. Sooner Scoscia is gone the better.

          • Hey, Wilson’s was a good contract, how else could CJ buy his McLaren if he didn’t get that contract from Arte.

          • Is that the ‘short’ he paid to have custom built to his outrageous specifications and when he got it didn’t want it?

That guy always reminds me of a weak clown that seems more at home on the beach playing volleyball or better yet the most worthless profession there is that guts govt. coffers a ‘fireman’.

  2. Competition, Wolfie, is one of the essential elements of the FREE ENTERPRISE ECONOMIC SYSTEM..I wonder, is Free Enterprise taught and used on your Planet, Wolfman ? If not, it should be.

  3. Replace Nike with Under Armor. Let them know in no circumstance will they sign ugly. UA would drop the ruins in a heart beat for USC and pay USC $300 million for the honor in making athletic wear for the greatest collegitte sports program of all time.

    • Hahaha! You’re hilarious on so many levels that you don’t even realize.

You’ll probably fix “greatest collegitte” to look less foolish, but the damage is done. Lol.

      • Oh well, I did not spell the word correctly nor did I use spell check. That means I don’t win the spelling bee contest today. In grammar school, I was one of the best spellers in our class. We had to go by memory and not spell check at that time. That is dating me.

        • I like how you challenged my spelling, however, you did not challenge my accuracy about USC being the No. 1 collegiate (per Webster’s Dictionary) sports program in all of college history. Please challenge. You will get your doors blown off. We can start with the Olympians and how many gold, silver, and bronze medals the athletes that have gone to USC have won. We could mention that 26 national track championships USC has won. We can mention the individual championships USC won. This is just warm ups.
