USC Is 14.5-Point Favorite Over Cal

It’s a nice comfortable spread for the Trojans. USC practiced this afternoon and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster said his back felt 100 percent. Smith-Schuster hurt it during the Arizona game.

Tailback Justin Davis said he does not expect to play but might be back for the Oregon game.

Among those at practice was Nate Boyer, the ex-Green Beret/Texas football player who convinced Colin Kaepernick to kneel rather than sit in protest during the national anthem. Boyer played for USC assistant coach Tommie Robinson, who was previously at Texas.

  1. I like our chances to cover the spread. Things are looking good. It appears all but one game should be a win the remainder of the season. This will be great for recruiting.

  2. Cal is a typical, soft Pac 12 team, no defense, and scores lots of points. Clay Helton is the luckiest football coach on the hot seat…lol

  3. Hope the odds-makers are right. But Cal will give their former D-coordinator some fits if the Trojan D-line doesn’t take control of the line of scrimmage. Cal’s defense is suspect but its offense is scary!
