USC-Cal Fact Of Day

This will be the fourth USC-Cal game in a row in which the two teams come in unranked in the AP poll (that, is, not in the top 25).  The last time when there were four straight games with neither team ranked was from 1940-1943.

  1. I’m running out of things to say about the new, Big West, WAC/Pac 12 flag football, conference. Chris Petersen must be gleaming , knowing he has a clear path as long as the current, head coaches stay in place. And he doesn’t even have four recruiting classes in place, yet.

    • Certainly not a lot of defense played this weekend in the P-12, except for UW and whatever that was with Stanford and Colorado.

      • The conference is pathetic, and resembles the comical Big 12 , where nobody plays defense, and you see scores in the 50’s and 60’s on a weekly basis. Did you notice the score of the Oklahoma vs Texas Tech game over the weekend? That’s garbage Sissy football, coached by weak LAZY coaches .

  2. Hard to forget that amazing game at the Coliseum when Cal was led by a then-unknown Aaron Rogers…2004. SC was ranked #1 and Cal #7 if I recall. Rogers was something like 23 for 23 until the final set of downs, Cal driving for the winning TD… Rogers had 4 plays to work with and all passes swatted down… SC victory.

    “Ahhh…those were the days…”

  3. After watching Oregon/Cal and ucla/Utah last week…..Wash/Utah will be refreshing…SC/cal is too late for me on eastcoast…maybe that’s a good thing….I have a bad feeling about this game .
