Former USC Wide Receiver Tom Nickoloff Dies At 84

Tom Nickoloff, a receiver and captain of the 1953 USC Trojans, has died. He was 84. Nickoloff was on the 1952 team that defeated Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl and led USC in receiving in 1952-53. USC was 23-7-1 during his career. He also was a third-round draft choice of the Rams.

      • 14-12 has a nice ring to it.

        That was also the score in 1969 game when Sam Dickerson made the great catch from Jimmy Jones in the end zone. I was sitting right there, low, in that exact corner with a couple of high school friends. It was crazy. Thank God for little gutty Danny Graham and his pass interference call.

  2. I was in the stadium for that ’52 win,and ’53 Rose Bowl…my favorite SC team, many went to NFL and all played offense and defense…those were the days.
