I ran the above picture of actor Robert Vaughn at USC in 1965 attending a speech given by Robert Kennedy. Vaughn died today at the age of 83. This is for those of you who grew up watching The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

May he RIP. He graduated from USC and he seemed very sharp. Man from Uncle was a great show.
Also teamed up again with McQueen after Mg7 as his nemesis in Bullitt.
Very versatile actor.
Tried watching MFU episodes a while back, seemed so cool as a kid, pretty cheap sets and effects now.
Don’t forget the paranoid gunfighter in The Magnificent Seven. Great Movie.
Excellent movie
“There was a time when I would have caught all three,” as in grabbing flies at one time.
The original Mg7 is one of the top 3-4 westerns of all-time IMHO. Nearly every character was to become a major star and they all bounced off each other perfectly.
The film made McQueen and started his “cool” brand. Nobody said much but the dialogue was fantastic.
Eli Wallach was also one of the best villains ever yet was almost likable. Of course the farmers won. They always win compared to the gunfighters, only three of which survive.
He also made a cameo in a space version of the Magnificent Seven.
Great actor, was in 2 Columbo’s as well. Also played FDR and Harry Truman on stage.
RIP Mr. Vaughn
He played a Nazi Major in the Bridge at Remagen. Like a lot of his characters their seemed to be something evil about him. He was a great actor
