Hey Scott, why not post the pictures and have us guess the year?
He wants us to think he is knowledgeable.
I cannot get over how big the shoulder pads were back then. And the face guards went from nothing to a full cage in a hurry. No knee pads on most of the speed positions. Looking at the picture for today’s kids is like me looking at guys in leather helmets.
That was that ‘phantom’ pass interference call Jones to Dickerson – one more play and boom! The original Cardiac Kids.
Jimmy Jones to Sam Dickerson and the gutties lose again
I will still remember SUCLA’s Dennis Dummit’s pass late in the 4th quarter going for a touchdown and a 12-7 lead. That pass seemed to hang in the air forever, and boom
But SC had an answer despite the fact Jimmy Jones was terrible up to that point.
But the next year in 1970 Dummit did get a measure of revenge.
