USC cornerback Adoree Jackson is one of four finalists for the Hornung Award, which goes to college football’s most versatile player. The other finalists are linebacker/defensive back Jabrill Peppers (Michigan), running back Christian McCaffrey (Stanford) and wide receiver Dede Westbrook (Oklahoma).
The winner will be announced Dec. 7.
This is easy, which player contributes in all three phases of the game?
Harbaugh is desperate to put the spotlight on his guys. I watched a couple of Michigan games and he had Peppers playing 5 different positions when the game was over by like 5 TD’s.
That’s because Harbaugh knows how these awards work. It’s all based which player is showcased more.
You have to imagine there’s a kid out there in Div 2 who is more versatile, out of necessity, than anyone left on the list.
CC is basically big time high school football. Peppers is good because the nation sees him play every Saturday. CB wise, Adoree shut down Calvin Ridley and intercepted two passes meant for John Ross. I would give Adoree the edge in the Biletnikoff Award race.
Hornung and Sark had something in common, drinking.
