Billy Preston To Kansas

Forward Billy Preston signed a letter of intent with Kansas today. He had Indiana, Kansas, Syracuse and USC among his final four choices today. Sort of llke Stanley Johnson, when he committed to Arizona. Always a bridesmaid.

“(Assistant coach Kurtis) Townsend was the point man and did a great job with Billy and his family,” Kansas coach Bill Self said.

In case you didn’t know, Townsend is a former USC assistant coach.
UPDATED: I’m including his announcement video because it sounds like he favors USC until the very end.

  1. We knew this was coming. What we do to others in football, they do us in hoops. I still like Enfield. He can only do so much with USC’s very limited hoops tradition.

      • Imagine all the heartbroken schools over the years who lose kids to USC football – kids USC only recruited for 2-3 weeks when other schools spent 9 months.

        Poor Kansas football. They’re 1-9 this year with only 1 victory over the Rhode Island Rams.

        Enfield will win one of these one-and-dones sooner or later. I think he’s a really good coach.

  3. It would have been amazing had USC secured this kid – understand USC mens basketball is NOT at the level of KS mens basketball.

    Now contrast that fact with the real question – why is it the mens basketball program at ucla wasn’t even on that list of schools considering the glory they once HAD but haven’t, save once,since 1994?

    • Because they stop playing the players. Gilbert’s trust account ran out of money. They did buy the Ball boy for one year though.

      • That dump actually named a fellowship after Gilbert’s wife ‘Rose’…..there never ever is any accountability when it comes to the left (Angela Davis ‘We The Optimists) or corruption (Rose and Sam Gilbert Fellowship).

        bozo u is a Div. II BB program. Have you forgotten Tweaky, six (6) players (count ’em: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) literally deserted the Andyain’twinning BB team.

        Two of Andy’s best player’s went Pro with zero chance of being drafted. But to them it was the preferable option than playing for Andyain’twinning one more second.

        Hardly, a glowing reference for the bozo u BB program.

        • USC beat the crap out of the ruins last year. Guess what squatter, USC will again again the ruins again this year squatter. Besides USC doesn’t buy players like Thug U does.

  12. Just to even be in the mix with those other 3 is a decent sign. Really nice win tonight. Enfield and crew seem to have a decent idea of what they’re doing and more recruits hopefully pay attention going forward.

    • I seen Wolf eating a hot dog last season at the Cal Poly game. He loves his relish. At first I thought it was Mikhail Gorbachef.
