Back On The Backwagon

You didn’t think this guy would contain himself with USC winning seven straight games, did you? Of course he’s back making predictions, which he will quickly forget if they do not come true.

  1. No wonder the blogger hates him, he’s his nemesis. Herd is relentlessly optimistic about Southern Cal. The blogger is relentlessly pessimistic. Yin meet Yang.

    • Cowheard said USC didn’t have any good coaches a few weeks ago.

Now he’s talking USC and national championship.

‘…If they win the first game of next season they would be on a 14 game winning streak……’

      • He’s the ultimate bandwagon fan posing as a sports reporter. Everyone on this blog has just as good of takes as that overpaid clown.

  2. With Coach O probably not getting the LSU job, does Helton and Swann make a pitch to bring him back and make him d-line coach and recruiting coordinator?

      • That’s the rub. Is there a way to keep both? I’m just concerned about recruiting. There is no reason why USC shouldn’t be top 5 every year.

        • We’re #13 currently in recruiting. I think we move up to 4-7 when it’s all said and done. The only way Ed O and and Kenechi Udeze both stay on this staff is if Ed O is assistant head coach/recruiting coordinator. That’s my opinion. I don’t think Helton would make a move on the DLINE coach after the improvement from them the the last month and the overall direction of the team. That’s just my opinion.

          • I agree. Don’t get me wrong I would love to have him on our staff, but I don’t see a fit. BKU finally got his feet wet and the players look up to him. He’s became the new Ed O. Give him a full year of coaching and a full year of recruiting and he will have his own guys and they will play his way. We have 3 DL so far in this class. They want to take two more DT’S.

          • As much as the Blogger likes you to think USC recruiters have nothing to do, it takes a couple years to develop a relationship with a high school player before they consider a school. Darnold’s recruitment goes back to at least his soph year in high school even though he was not highly rated. Give BKU 2-3 more years to see his full impact as a recruiter.

          • I agree. Give him time and he will have us tougher than weve been in a while. Get this…BKU has an Under Armour DE visiting Saturday and 5 star UCLA DE commit Jalen Phillips is now saying he will likely take an OV to SC in January during the big weekend

        • Great news buddy. Just read a minute ago that Miami Commit DE and Under Armour All American DJ Johnson will take an Official Visit to SC this Saturday. But what makes it more interesting is that he was on an OV last week when we beat UW so he got to see SC sack them around and will get to SC smack the Irish around. The recruits will be here on signing day.

          • ESPN is reporting that Greg Rogers committed to UCLA. Supposed to be a top recruit–if so it is a tough loss.

          • I was sold he was a Trojan. From what I heard a few weeks ago is that Kenechi Udeze stopped calling him. I asked my buddy why? He says the coaches feel he was getting beat too often against some very average competition in Las Vegas. The writing was on the wall for him. That’s what I heard.

          • Talent evaluation is the name of the game. Fans get fooled by the Star count all the time because most don’t have access to the recruits to make an informed judgement. Coaches careers depend on getting the evaluation right.

          • Visitors this weekend
-DJ Johnson DE (Under Armour All American)
            -Austin Jackson OT 5-Star
            -Alec Jackson 4-Star DT
            -Popo Aumavae DT 4-star
            -Brandon Pili DT 3-Star

And guess who the Greg Rogers who committed to UCLA today.

          • He’s from Stockton, CA. It’s real. Not saying SC is the reason. But he’s about to decommit from Miami. He just witnessed SC beat up on Washington during an official, now he visiting against ND.

    • May follow Les Miles somewhere. Rumor has it that Miles would want to get Sark from Alabama to go to Purdue perhaps.

      • Lester is an idiot and won’t get hired by any if he keeps saying he is bringing Sark … no school wants that drug addict around besides he is a horse crap OC anyway and will back stab the HC to boot

    • Coach O is not wanted back by the powers that be within the USC athletic dept. He has no chance of ever coaching the Trojans in any capacity again.

      • If he doesn’t get the LSU job, and it looks like he won’t , he won’t get another shot at a power 5 HC job. When he let Fournette play after shoving a FL coach it sure looked like Coach O wasn’t in control. Some guys are just not built to be the supreme leader–and Coach O may be one of those guys.

        • O’s a great DL coach and recruiting coord. At least he used to be. Has never been HC material, though many want to think he has grown into the role.

I like him personally, so I hope he gets the LSU job. But he loses a lot of important games and last Saturday was just another example of a game his team threw away and should have won.

LSU wants FSU’s Fisher. If they can get him, Ed O’s out. But Ed O would take a lot less money, so that will help him out if demands from people like Fisher and Herman are just out-of-control.

  3. Wolf, “I hate that guy! Why not me! Why not me! That should be me. Howling with the Wolf on Fox Sports Radio!”

  4. It’s not just Cowherd. The entire U.S. is on the USC bandwagon. You hear more about Sam Darnold every day than you do Dak Prescott.

USC football is once again a phenomena. We should thank the bruins. They had their window to try and take over but the little gutties flopped all over the place and are now lining up for a possible invite to the Food Stamp Bowl, for teams with losing records only.

    • The USC run proves the point that they are the big dog of the conference. When USC wins the college football world pays attention. WA, Colorado, and WSU are not getting half the love that USC is getting. Granted , Darnold is leading the charge; but those teams have pretty good seasons going.

  5. I agree with Cowherd. The playoff should have 8 teams not 4. It would only amount to one more games for 2 teams. There are 128 teams in divion 1 football. To add one more game for 2 teams is not a big deal.

    • When do they consider expansion of the playoff? This season proved that 4 is not enough for late bloomer teams like our Trojans.

      • I don’t know when but I do think that it will happen. There is no good reason for it not to happen.

    • I think it will happen. They may stipulate that teams only schedule 11 games again but that would not be that big of a deal. I would like to see it mandated that each power conference must play 9 conference games and then the winner of each of the Power 5 conferences gets a team in
automatically and then add 3 at-large teams. This would satisfy most of the current issues IMO.

      • Sounds good to me. I don’t even think I would cut the season down to 11 games. Why? If you allow 8 teams into the playoffs, that would only add 1 game for 2 teams. I don’t see that as a big deal.

  6. Wolf really hates it when SC wins and looks good doing it. He would much rather lament about how pathetic our program is.
Must really suck to be a beat writer for a program that you hope loses!

  7. Cowy is recovering from his Sarky got canned and career is over butt hurt … they are biggest of pals. Cowturd has spent more time trying to get Sarky jobs than arse boy Herbiestreet.
How can we ever forget the ‘ SC is rolling’ BS Cowy was screaming a day before Petersen and the Huskies ended his fraudulent career.
I doubt Cowturd loves Gomer but he needs a SC insider.
