      • But the stain is there forever on ND. I say we get some back room deal, frontier justice going with USC’s unfairly stripped victories all reinstated in exchange for giving ND the late reprieve. Works for me. Ah, the wheels of fortune never stop turning.

    • With Haden’s Foundation Dealings, this is why he referred to them as the “Gold Standard” in College Football…..hadn’t ever got caught when he said it.

  1. FWIW “According to ESPN Stats & Information, since the start of October, USC has the highest average game score in the country (87 out of 100). Game score accounts for quality of the opponent, location of the game, the final result and how well a team controlled the game.”

  2. It’s really bittersweet seeing these analysts have SC in the top 4 or “1st 4 out” lists. I hope the actual committee is thinking along the same lines but I doubt it.

  3. Right now SC is one game out of first in their division. They need help to even get to the Conf. Champ. Game. I would say more hope than expectations. Might crack the top 10 in the playoffs ranking, 9 or 10 spot.

  4. More proof that SC being good is just plain good for college football. At the very least, some good press here should help recruiting a few more quality lineman hopefully.

  5. Even Joey Galloway, the bruin lover, is on board with USC football now. Crazy how USC football has changed to a completely new level over the last two months – with all these media big wigs talking up the Trojans as a top 4 team even though we have 3 losses. USC has officially turned the college football world upside down.

I guess if you hang around long enough, you’ll see everything – like Donald J. Trump becoming President of the US of A as well.

Next thing you know, Desmond Howard will be promoting USC.

And now we learn the oh-so-noble Fighting Irish have to forfeit two complete football seasons because of player academic fraud. What goes around comes around. That’s what I take from that. Karma baby. It’s a mutha.

  6. 3 Loss team does not belong in the Playoffs, I’ll settle for a New Year’s Bowl Game. That being said, Oklahoma better not get in either.

    • Fortunately that is just your opinion. The committee sees things just a little differently, in who are the top 4 NOW.

    • You would think Ala., Clemson, Okla., and Ohio St would be the top 5 assuming they win out. Now if one or more of those got knocked out as conference champs, that might open it up for SC if (a big IF) they win the conference.

  7. Wolf, don’t all these other “experts” kind of make you feel you may be missing something? Like, perhaps USC may be a good football team lead by good coaches? Just sayin…

  8. Can’t remember a more remarkable turnaround for a team. Domination of bruins last week exceeded the 50-0 game from a few years ago – last week, 530 yards of total offense versus 265 yards, 44 minutes of possession versus 16 minutes. One hope is that the O-line can improve in terms of penalties and blocking. Then Trojans can compete with anybody, including Alabama.

      • The 50-0 game was one for the ages. Despite that score, the team stats in the 50-0 game were much less one-sided than in last week’s game. Now if they can just keep this up against the irish….
