Coliseum Question

coliseum-emptyI’ve had several USC fans tell me a turn off to coming to games is the lid ban on drinks in plastic cups. I didn’t know there was a ban. But since there is, does it bother you too?

  1. Doesn’t bother me as much as since the Utah State game having to walk past the Entrance by Gate 12 all the way to the south side and then back again to get in to see Traveler before the game.

  2. Grow a pair, people. Show up, get loud, and help the team. Enough with this nonsense. I’m sure when we’re in the playoff picture next year, all these lid-gaters will show up in droves.

  3. A lid ban is a deterrent for a USC fan from attending a game ? Huh?! That’s sounds like one mans, opinion.. lol

  4. Sounds like something Haden would come up with. Really simple, if you have a lid, take it off, put it in your pocket, walk in, put it back on. Unless they have posted anyone with concealed lids will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  5. I think it was on those cups sold inside the game. But I didn’t know there was a ban.
Our biggest issue was the security at the gates. I went through with enough change in my pocket to buy a lidless cup of soda, but no beeps. The second game we took our new see through bag purchased at the first game but got told to check the bag because it was too big. Then waited in line to see others with the same bag go in with no hassle. Because of this I missed the band’s pregame and shoot that’s why go to them there games.

    • I remember being outraged when I went to a Rams game and they were selling plastic horns outside the gate but then they would confiscate the horns when you tried to go in to watch the game.

  6. Is USC going to be looking for a new strength and conditioning coach? Seems like everyone complains the team is always out of shape.

  7. Tillery from Notre Dame issued a very humble apology to Cedric and Banner. Of course everyone else has it before Wolf.

    • Would have meant more if he did it immediately after the game and not only after he met with Brian Kelly who forced the dirty player to apologize. He needs to be suspended multiple games next year.

  8. Would not go to that mausoleum if you paid me. Blow it up and build something from the 21st century.

  10. Just saying, if Washington beats up on Colorado then the Rose Bowl will have to take the highest ranked team in CFP RANKINGS. Go Huskies!
But i have to say something about #2. There’s been a lot of talk about Adoree Jackson and his ability to make an impact in football games. I said it a during the week that he’s a big time playmaker. Defensively he’s played at a level that we aren’t used to seeing from an SC corner. At UW, he was beat for a long TD but came back and intercepted Jake Browning. No comeback for the #4 Huskies, SC Wins. Saturday he bit on Kizer’s pump fake and was beat for TD, but he came right back and took the kickoff 97 yards while jumping over a ND player (ala #5) for the TD to put a stop the Irish comeback. USC beats the Domers and AJAX put on a show that can only be compared to AD or Reggie. We’re lucky to have him on our side. He could have easily went elsewhere like many others did when we were coming off sanctions, going from preseason #1 to 7-6, and UCLA playing like the better program. He almost went to Florida and on signing day his dad wasn’t too thrilled about his decision and held up his signature. What if he went to Tennessee like his father wanted? Or if he went across town? He grew up with #5 as his idol, it went a long way in his interest for USC, remember that he’s from Missouri. Kids are gonna want to be the next Adoree at USC. That’s the kind of baller he is and how they look at him. We knew from day 1 that he was a three year player because he’s so dynamic and we got our money’s worth with AJAX.

    • I am still waiting for a media piece with Woodson’s interception played side by side with Adoree’s. It’s a made for TV piece with Woodson’s being a defensive Heisman Trophy Winner

  11. I think it has more to do with the price of what’s in the cup, not the lid on the cup that has people upset.
