Heisman Trophy Watch

adoree-notre-dame-2016-2Despite the best efforts of Keyshawn Johnson and other former USC football players turned TV analysts to push Adoree Jackson for the Heisman Trophy, Bovada announced today that its Heisman odds are “off the board” because Louisville QB Lamar Jackson is such a heavy favorite for the award.

  1. I’m pretty sure the mindset is more of “hey, the kid at least deserves a trip to New York” even if he is not the favorite. For one thing, if that happened, it might wet his taste buds on wanting to win it next year and get him back.

    • Spot on! The risk of injury by staying ion the college game is real ‘but’ the chance to join a very select few and one per year as being recognized as the best college football player in the land is huge for anyone.

Love to see him return with Shuster and wrest the trophy from the south.

  2. OT: Two CU players arrested, one for cocaine possession, after fighting in bar following UTAH victory.

CU can officially kiss off any shot at beating UW. SC will play in the Rose Bowl.

    • Jack B, your first item cannot be true. If some of our illustrious contributors are to be believed USC is the only school and the only coaching staffs that have players do stupid and often illegal things –( I could not find the sarcasm emoticon). McIntyre must be pissed–2 knuckleheads get themselves in trouble in the midst of the best run of their entire playing career. It must be fun to be in charge of 100 18-21 year old boys/ men.

  3. Heisman Award is a bust this year. Literally no one cares because the clear winner has played down, as has his team.

They’ll have to cancel all the hoopla Heisman shows because it’s just not an interesting subject matter with Jackson the only real candidate.

  4. Guess the Louisville Mafia is stronger than the USC Mafia! Oh Godfather tell me what to do!
