Adoree Jackson A Second-Day NFL Draft Pick?

adoree-notre-dame-2016-2Not a second-round pick but a second-day-of-the-draft pick. That’s what this article from CBS Sports.com says after Adoree Jackson’s big game against Notre Dame. I have counted Jackson giving up six touchdowns this season. But I don’t think he will fall to the second day. The article notes scouts are worried about his size but Nickell Robey seems to be doing fine in the NFL.

    • You know, I think we’ve become numb to the number of basic mistakes Wolf makes that we’ve come to expect it.

        • “Not a second-round pick but a second-day-of-the-draft pick.”

That’s the same thing you buffoon. Read the article he posted.

“probably in the early day two range” – that would be early 2nd round. Wolfie needs another buffoon, you’re it!

          • “Probably in the early day two range”, and day two includes the 2nd and 3rd round, buffoon!

  1. Selfishly, I want him to stay. With another spring and summer camp & no olympics to take him away from football and the expected coaching continuity he would probably see even more improvement next year. But if he receives a high enough draft report to satisfy him, then godspeed and thanks for a great 3 years.

  2. The fact that he didnt make first team Pac 12 as DB doesnt help. His real value would be as areturn specialist as his size will make a difference against NFL caliber players.

    • He not only made first team,he is Pac Defense player of year….Size is a question, but not to Adorre..He’s a special player.

  3. Adoree may have given up 6 TDs but has 5 TDs scored, 4 on special teams. He also has 42 solo tackles (2nd to Cam Smith), and 9 assists. Should get a good pay day in the next draft but next year he could be the going away Heisman winner. Another year of conditioning/maturity and awards could make him a 1st rounder.

      • Agreed there. Darnold will be hyped like crazy this summer. If Adoree Jackson can go in the first three rounds, he’ll head to the NFL. I don’t think an additional year at USC would elevate him from a low 2/high 3 pick to a #1–he just doesn’t have the physicality to be a first rounder.

Darnold though is going to rise pretty damned high. He’s already being compared to Tony Romo (hopefully with a little more success in big games) because of his physicality. If he stays healthy, he will be a first rounder. If I were the Rams, I’d trade Goff for Darnold right now (as much a lack of faith in Goff than support for Darnold).

  4. Don’t compare Adoree Jackson to Nickell Robey, because Robey is ten times more physical, and will knock you’re head off .
