Adoree Jackson For Something

USC has put out a video today that seems to push Adoree Jackson for the Heisman Trophy. Or maybe the Lott Trophy, which named Jackson one of four finalists for the award. Don’t blame USC for putting out a video this late. Jackson did not have a breakout game until Notre Dame. He’s given up six touchdown passes this season. His freshman year he gave up one.

  1. Jack of all trades, but master of none, and a handful of special teams play won’t get him the votes.

    • Master of none? He’s 1st Team All Conference DB, 1st Team All Conference RS, PAC12 Defensive POY. He’s a Lott Award finalist and a Hornung Award finalist.

    • I disagree somewhat Fred. I think in the return game or with the ball in his hands he may be the most electrifying player in college football. He had a lot of highlights running with the ball in that video for a CB. Most return men are Corners but Adoree sets himself apart in that area. Pete Carroll had some good ones with Will Poole and Eric Wright. He even got best out of Darrell Rideaux and Antuan Simmons. But they were his best during 9 year career at SC. Pete went hard for Ted Ginn, that was probably the closest that I can remember. Keith Heyward coached Adoree Jackson and Iman Marshall before Pendergast and Ronnie Bradford noticeably coached up. Imagine those two guys starting for a Peter Carroll led defense? Or with three whole years with Pendergast and Bradford.

      • My comment was based on the assumption of how the Heisman voters vote, not personal accomplishments . Because Adoree Jackson will always get, that.

        • My bad Fred, we were playing a Notre Dame team that will be known for failing to qualify to play in Bowl game. But Irish will always remember that loss to USC because Adoree summoned the powers of Anthony Davis and Reggie Bush for the hat trick. I’m convinced more than ever that AJAX just may be “the greatest athlete ever” to play at SC.

    • C’mon John, do you really think he lost the game in Utah?

The USC offense fumbled the ball away 4 times in that same ball game. And every single one of those fumbles were all huge because they all happened while we were across the 40 yard line. It’s unbelievable how this continues to go unnoticed and the blame is pointed at Adoree and Iman Marshall. He had to score a 100 yard TD in that ball game for us to keep up with the Utes. 102 yard return be exact. Max Browne wasn’t on the field for USC. This was the Sam Darnold Trojans and Sam had two big fumbles. One of them was similar to Todd Marinovich’s in the Hancock Bowl. I’m just saying that we lost that ball game for more than 1 reason. You could say that Pendergast held back from pressuring
