Max Browne Looking At 25 Schools For Transfer

browne-ala-3USC quarterback Max Browne is leaving the program immediately and told me he is considering 25 schools as possible destinations. Browne did not want to name the schools but said five already contacted him.

“I need to do my due diligence,” Browne said.

Browne said he researched all 128 FBS schools “so I know which quartebacks are leaving” before finding 25 that need a quarterback.

Browne must find a school where he would pretty much be guaranteed a starting spot.

“That’s the logic I have to have,” Browne said.

  1. Just another example of don’t count your 5-stars before they’re hatched.

Hope you find a great school Max that is willing to take a totally unproven QB who expects to start for a year.

    • Jack B, just another BS smear of Max Browne. Unproven ? Who in the H@ll are you to make that claim ? You have NO IDEA, letting you ignorance and bigotry, Browne not born and raised in San Clemente, (i,e, Mustain, Booty, and now Browne) overload your judgement. I understand Californian are convinced Cow Farts change the climate……….Idiots !!!

        • Definitely calmed down moments after I went bananas. It dawned on me that unproven could be applied with regard to Mr. Brown. You weren’t saying that Max Browne was a proven loser. I am thankful SW’s Blog dumped that trash !!! Let’s see the Huskies beat the Buffs by at least 17 to put us in the Rose Bowl !!! It’s been far too long.

          • More power to you.

I’m rooting for Browne, a very classy guy, like everyone else. Not sure if he’s got what it takes to start at some place big, but I hope so because fate dealt him a cruel blow when Darnold followed him to SC. That was Browne’s kiss of death and I’m just glad he got a great education for free while waiting for his shot.

      • Trying to figure out if Jack B. is anti-USC, or if he just likes trolling at his own team…

  2. The letter Max made public today written to his teammates and school is pure class.Something that every USC fan should read.Max you have excelled in character and have made us proud.I wish him the greatest success at the school he chooses.

  3. Max’s letter to USC fans.

Four years ago, when I signed to come play at USC, I never thought this day would come. But the time has come for me to find a new home.

Thank you to my teammates. From my recruiting class of 12 strong who came here in the heart of sanctions, to all of my other teammates I have encountered during my time here, I will never forget the grind and will always remember going to battle with the guys. I thank you boys for voting me captain, as it was one of my most proud moments. Keep grinding and I will always be rooting for all of you guys. Thank you to the boys: The OM crew, The Stable, WP1A and the men of LXA. You guys made the good times at SC great, and showed me why SC is such a special place. My four years here confirmed and even bolstered what I learned from high school; I have had the best of friends and teammates anyone could ask for. I walk away from USC falling short of many of my goals, but I also walk away with a full heart, lifelong relationships, and memories that will last a lifetime. I will certainly have an assortment of feelings when I look back at my 4 years here at SC, but I will always remember the unbelievable people I encountered along my path as a Trojan.

I’m hungry and ready to attack the next step in both football and in life. Please stay in touch everyone, love you all. Fight On!”

  4. I hope he finds success (except when playing SC of course!) where ever he decides to go. This year must have been extremely tough for him.

  5. Malik Zaire is transferring out from ‘The Princess’ ‘maybe’ Max ought to call Kelly?

    • I’m not sure if you’re being serious but that job is Wimbush’s to lose. Not the guarantee Max is looking for.

    • “Hello, This is Max Browne from the USC Trojan sideline. I’ve been benched and the guy who’s in for me now is gonna win a Heisman before he’s gone and I’m never getting back in.

“I know you used to want me 4 years ago when I was in high school. Are you still interested? Clay Helton will give me a great recommendation, so will Tee Martin and I haven’t been in any trouble and I’m now getting my Masters in Business here.

“How you looking for next year? I’m looking to start, obviously. Let me know. Gotta go. I’m supposed to be talking to the press box. Bye.”

  6. There are no guarantees in this game. We actually saw Max Browne leaving the Coli after the ND game – he was walking with a couple of friends, far away from the rest of the celebrating team. Felt bad for the guy. He greeted us warmly, but I wish there were a way for him to finish his career at SC.

    • His choice to leave, he just wasn’t good enough to start and he should not have started one game this season

      • I guess that is one way to look at it. A cold-hearted, un-Trojan-like way, but a way. He has been nothing but class as a Trojan and deserves better than that completely unnecessary comment.

  7. Hope he finds a school where he can shine enough to get a shot at the next level and get a great pay day. Otherwise, his education, maturity and contacts will take him far in the real world.
