Does Washington need to blow out Colorado for USC to get into the Rose Bowl? Possibly. But there’s not really any injustices taking place if you didn’t win your division, conference or need to rely on another to make the College Football Playoff.

It is highly likely that one of the teams in the National Championship game didn’t with their division – what’s your point?
#CrowForDinner?
UW wins and they’re in the playoffs…unless they flounder in this game. If they do, it’s likely they’ll end up #5, and OUT. That sets off some PAC12 chaos, because we’d get no one into the playoffs, and others scrambling for a NY Day Bowl (UW, Colorado, SC, Stanford)
If UW flounders (see above) but wins, and ends up #5 and OUT, they’re in the Rose.
If Colorado wins, they’re in the Rose… UW in the Cotton, SC in the Alamo, Stanford in the Holiday.
If Colorado loses both teams have 2 loses to PAC 12 teams. USC’s only other loss was the the best team in college football and USC beat CU head to head and beat UW. USC’s resume is better. The committee could very well put USC ahead od CU.
It would be kind of weird for the Rose to reject the team that fairly, squarely won the PAC12 South to earn a PAC12 Championship game…unless they get pulverized tonight. So far, the Buffs look like San Jose State….
The Rose Bowl take the team with the highest CFP rank if the Conference Champion goes to the playoff. If USC is ranked higher than CU they’re in.
If OSU has a shot at final 4, USC should to. USC beat both teams playing in the conf championship.
But we lost to two teams that both these teams beat. Do losses count or just wins?
uhhh….yea, both wins and losses count.
Next….
Injustices ?
With a Washington win ?
“We” beat the team (By “2” Scores [ On their “Home” field ] that was “undefeated” and #6 in the Country [ Their “only” loss ]) that beat the team whom “We” also beat besides “4” Trojan turnovers !
So…
“We” beat “both” of them !
And…
If not for Adoree Jackson losing his “shoe” on the last play against Utah allowing them to score the winning touchdown with 33 seconds left in the game, “at” Utah, Washington would have faced their worst nightmare tonight instead of an over hyped Colorado team !!
(I’m watching the game and Washington looks over hyped facing a Colorado team with their backup Quarterback and yet the game is still close ???)
And, everyone in the AP and Coaches Poll know this !!!
And the College Football Playoff poll makes the choice !
Will #8 (Colorado) fall to #10 (#9 Oklahoma vs #10 Oklahoma State Saturday) and USC move to #9 ?
It seems as if too many are in places that they should not be, and then making “decisions” that affect others ? !
College Football ???
The “worst” system in ALL-OF-SPORTS…
Period !
StupidOn
But dont our losses count too? Stanford and Utah? Both Colorado and Wash both beat them
“Woulda’ Coulda’ Shoulda'” – SC’s new moto??
Your right unfortunately. We have twlked that way since Pete Left.
Rickis spinning, spinning, spinning…turning into butter….melt down next.
Knock it off little gutty.
You crappy bruins are licking your wounds as usual while the Trojans will be playing in the Rose Bowl or some other big-time affair.
The Rose Bowl is USC’s home away from home, we own the joint, and nobodies complaining dolt.
The Pac-12 has a lot of cash riding on Washington to get in a play-off game. The Pac-12 definitely got the match up it wanted with Colorado, instead of USC, in tonight’s game. Pac-12 officials must of really been pulling for Colorado to beat Utah last week.
Interestingly enough, Colorado didn’t commit a single penalty in that 27-22 win against Utah. The last time that was accomplished in a Pac-12 game was way back 2008 when Arizona had zero penalties in a loss to Cal. Colorado is a team averaging nearly six penalties a game this season and for them not to flagged once last week is, well, amazing(ly convenient)!
USC’s in the Rose Bowl. It’s 31-7 UW with 5 to go in the 3 Q.
Any other result and the PO and RB Committees will look ridiculous.
solid showing by the coach of the year…
Yeah, right, put Colorado in the Rose Bowl where it might only lose by 40 points. Yeah, yeah, yeah, go Buffalows
Colorado even considered, after this lopsided loss, as one of the “first 4 out” boils my sh*t. Boils it! They were horrible and lifeless tonight.
I wonder if Pat Haden watched the beat down UW just laid down on Colorado? Fortunately, Helton seems to have worked out for USC. This may have put USC into the Rose Bowl.
Colorado looked like San Jose State, so every PAC12 fan should be embarrassed. I can’t imagine the Rose inviting the Buffs after this one….
They looked like San Jose States baby bear stepkids from Westwood.
Not if NESPN has their way…
