High-Flying Moves

Adoree Jackson grabbed national attention with his leap over the Notre Dame kicker on a kick return. Here’s a defensive lineman, leaping over a tailback. That’s impressive.

  1. At best I would call that a dive over the RB. Adoree was running at full speed, hurdled the tackler, then proceeded to score a touchdown. No comparison.

  2. It is so sad. This post has no connection to SC and if it has a point , it is to take a shot at Adoree. And if he takes a shot at Adoree he guarantees clicks for his blog. And clicks is what it is all about. Quality content and legit news are far down the list of priorities. So sad.

      • You are partially right. I responded to the post knowing I was feeding the beast. But, I keep coming back, not for any insight by the paid professional, but rather, the contributions of a varied group of folks interested in SC news. Many offer a history and perspective I find to be quite interesting.

  3. FoxSports ranked the most disappointing teams in College football…..

    #1 UCLA (8 Clap)
    #2 Notre Dame
    #6 Oregon

Also regarding this post by SW…WTF?

  4. Allen launches himself over lame, feeble block attempt and sacks a sitting duck QB.

Not even remotely similar to nor nearly as impressive as Adoree’s acrobatic leapfrog full-speed hurdle on his way to a giant return TD.

SW’s just yanking this blog’s chain with this bizarre comparison.

  5. Speaking of All-Americans, I think Imhatorhbebe, Darnold, and Biggie have a chance next year. RJ, Rasham Greene, and Nwosu could also if they have big years.

    • Gustin too if he learns a couple more pass rush moves and Cam Smith after another year removed from his ACL tear. Needless to say our defense is gonna be stacked next year. Only the DT position is worrisome.

  6. According to Alabama247
Tee Martin considered a possible replacement for Lane Kiffin as OC at Alabama.

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I don’t see Saban hiring an OC who has not made a name for himself, much less only been an OC for one year.

      • I hope not and you are probably right. But Tee Martin has been ranked as the #1 recruiter last season and #2 the year before that may also be part of his attractiveness.

        • We will be loosing Tee one of these days, but probably to take a HC position. Maybe Clay Helton’s brother will turn out to be good enough to take over when Tee leaves. he sure has kept a low profile.

          • I agree, i don’t see Tee leaving unless it’s for a head coaching job. Adoree, Juju, Biggie, Rasheem Green and John Houston said Tee Martin put USC over the top for them.

  7. If you’re implying that what Adoree did was not as impressive you’re dead wrong. He didn’t just leap over someone on a kick return, he leapt over them and landed without losing a bit of speed. He never broke stride on his way to the end zone. That along with the toe tap doing-the-splits interception were two of the most athletic plays I’ve ever seen.

Watching the Heisman ceremony this Saturday they kept showing each player’s “Hesiman Moment” and only Lamar Jackson could match Adoree’s electrifying highlights.

  8. Now that USC made the Rose Bowl and Adoree has made most every AA list that matters, the blogger can’t say that USC squandered Adoree’s talent so he is calling that talent into question. Why don’t you focus on the amazing athleticism and character this young man has displayed since he arrived on campus. Hopefully we get one more year of amazing highlights!

  9. This is supposed to be Inside USC blog but blogger jumps at the chance of a weak example of one upping Adoree. Very weak, even for you, blogger.

  10. What gives with the Blogger’s disdain for Adoree Jackson? Just last year he was pushing Adoree for the Heisman and by all accounts Adoree has had a very successful junior year. The Blogger likes to hide behind the “homer” classification but this is just unprofessional journalism.
