Max Browne To Pittsburgh

browne-stanfordUSC QB Max Browne announced this afternoon he was transferring to Pittsburgh. That was quick. Browne only visited one school before he made his decision. The Panthers return two quarterbacks: True freshman Thomas MacVittie, who is redshirting, and redshirt freshman Ben DiNucci. Neither has thrown a college pass.

Pitt just lost its offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, to LSU.

  1. Good Luck Max: There’s nothing like getting bozo u hosed for being loyal.

If the bozo’s lose the RB, Max is likely to get the blame.

    • What are you babbling about rummy? He got the starting job ahead of Sam because he was a senior and didn’t produce. He was given a full release to go anywhere he wanted, no restrictions. That’s not hosed, lay off the sauce, jug-head.

    • Squatter, Squatter, Squatter, I just laugh at you and your silly and stupid comments. This has nothing to do with loyalty. It has to do with Max not being able to play the position at the level Darnold can. It is Max’s decision to leave. USC is not kicking him out, he is leaving on his own. Speaking of loyalty, do you think Rosen will play next year or will he still cry about his nerve and he can’t play all of next year? We all know he does not want to ruin his chance of being a high draft pick and also ruin the idea that he is a great qb, which if fact, he is not that good.
Squatter, please get out of the rain. Go to a homeless shelter and stay dry.

  2. So he’ll have an inexperienced offensive coordinator? Whatever the case may be, I hope he has great success

  3. You can’t help liking Max but in all fairness, I don’t think that he’s that good. Of course, I’m judging him on what he did at SC and I’m not sure they gave him much of a chance here….at least not in real live games.

    • Hi, with respect to both you and Max, he was not going to pan out as a qb here. In the ND game when he was just handing off the ball, his footwork was incorrect. His throwing decisions were too slow. I asked a receiver who he liked and he said Darnold was better. His throws would take too long to get to the point of reception. I wish Max the best.

      • One thing about Darnold is that he’s got that extremely quick release. Some QB coaches will try and change a QB’s throwing motion. Throwing motion isn’t that important. Phillip Rivers throws sidearm and still he’s a great QB. The main thing is how quick your release is. If you have a slow release, that gives the cornerbacks time to re-act. Sam has one of the quickest release I’ve seen in a long time.

  4. Great for him. I heard that he was planning on playing his one year there and if the NFL doesn’t pan out, he will come back to USC to finish his MBA.

  5. It will help Sam Darnold’s already strong National Perception if Max goes to Pitt and dominates. Best of luck.

  6. UCLA didn’t qualify for a bowl game Lenny. I hesitate to mention it because you’re anxiously waiting for bozo u to hire Coach Herman at any cost – just not with your $$$$$$.

Stay sober, and minimize you sugar intake.

    • L……….M………….A………..O!!!
GO JOE BRUIN says LA Rams should hire Jim Mora.

      OMG!!!

What are theyyy smoking in Westwood???????

      • I’m sure there are many Bruins that wouldn’t mind the Rams hiring Mora. The Rams need to lose their GM as well for signing off on an extension for Fisher with Fisher’s agent being the GM’s father. The Rams are the ones that need to drain the swamp.

        • In all seriousness. No trash talk here. I think Mora has reached his ceiling at UCLA. He had a huge window the first three seasons when USC lost 30 scholarships and he made a small dent to the conference. I think UCLA should look elsewhere if he has another mediocre season. Just my honest opinion. Truthfully i have no reason to dislike him, i just feel he’s overrated and UCLA could use an upgrade. I think he’s made the job more attractive and UCLA could do better.

  7. Browne is taking a chance commiting to a school without knowing who the OC is going to be. What if they hire a guy who likes mobile QB’s?
