USC Morning Buzz: Is This A Reggie Bush Iconic Play?

Here’s Reggie Bush’s TD run against Fresno State in 2005. By the way, here is a petition started to reinstate Bush as the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner. Perhaps Bush can also apologize to USC for NCAA sanctions.

  1. USC 94 WY 92 – OT – Trojans end pre-season 13 – 0 they face OR St. next Wednesday in Corvallis.

    Fight on!

  2. I have a feeling a petition won’t be needed for Reggie Bush to be reinstated, because the NCAA doesn’t want to have to pay another settlement. And please believe me, Todd McNair will soon be a millionaire

    • McNair will prevail. If SW was a reporter he would have a story about the NCAA losing the motion to remove the judge, the case will continue. The Heisman Trust control the Trophy the NCAA is not affiliated. USC should demand Reggie’s forced exile be withdrawn.

      • No way the NCAA wants this to go to trial, so they can talk big all they want, but everyone knows a huge settlement is coming.

        • They (ncaa) really attempted to ruin McNair and his character. I don’t think he’s coaching because of this, and I really hope he takes the ncaa to the bank and gets a public apology.

          • McNair already ruined his reputation when he was caught torturing poor dogs. Pete should have never hired that scum. I can’t believe you guys are trying to make him into a saint.

        • Fred, Merry Christmas. McNair has to go to court. He wants to clear his name. He knows he will win, therefore, dragging his name through the mud will be motive to get it cleared. I hope he does. That way we can see full hand the corruption and the hate that went against USC

    • Fred, when did it come out that Reggie didn’t take $300,000 in cash, a car, diamond ear rings, hotels rooms, meals and the use of a $650,000 house? I missed that.

    • Why? He derailed the SC juggernaut and sent Pete Carroll to the NFL with his selfishness. He is dead to me.

  3. Move On! Bush and his family took unauthorized benefits. He’s not getting the Heisman back. SC paid an excessive price for unjust accusations. SC is back as a top 10 football program. The NCAA is a corrupt organization that tried to take out SC and they failed. Fight The F*** On!

    • Why doesn’t he send one to all the SC players who came after him and had to play under an investigative cloud and sanctions due to his greed?

  4. Good times!!! Good times!!!

    The Heisman? Meh.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    Peace on Earth and
    goodwill to all men!

  5. I’m TOO old for this stuff…Reggies folks owe the apology, they did all the negotiating; he wouldn’t even qualify as an adult when I was growing up…kids his age screwed up all the time and did not vote ,sign any legal docs before 21…and the ncaa is now even closer to gettin’ what they deserve or it deserves, or whatever… reinstate the Heisman winner already.

    • When you were growing up 18 year olds went to war 7000 miles away and died. Please don’t make excuses for him. 84 other players on the team managed to follow the clear rules.

      • I stated facts, not excuses…I remember better than you about the service and serving,I just didn’t die…nobody is an adult at 18,and 21 most still are not.His parents were making the deals, he listened to them and thought he was honoring them, and sinful nature attracted to money did the rest. Are you stating it isn’t common? It goes on all the time.Although players like him were and still are a little unusual.Merry Christmas and try to have a nice New Year.

  6. What his parents did, did not assist that run (unless mom’s a ref). So it will remain an iconic play.
    Enough said.
