USC Picture Of The Night

oj-oregon-1967Nothing makes the past look new than a good color photo. Here is O.J. Simpson against Oregon in 1967 at the Coliseum. USC won, 28-6. And the Homecoming crowd for a USC team ranked No. 1 for this game? 48,807. It just shows USC attendance figures can vary greatly even like this year’s disappointing crowds.

    • Really? How so? None of us have a blog site nor are likely to have one.

That photo of the 1967 game – 50 years ago this Autumn – the only game USC drew >60K that year was against TX – bel-air tech was >90k.

  1. The only reason the attendance will differ is because of the opponent .. In most cases like 1967 and now, fans want to see great games.. The Ducks finished 2-8 that year, while USC finished 10-1.. 103,000 showed up in Pasadena that same year to see the #1 Trojans ✌

    • Hmmm I don’t know – no cable, no HDTV – the reason I think was that USC lost back-to-back to bel-air tech and ‘The Princess’ …… more like the state of MO you know ‘show me!’

  2. Wait first Hillary called me deplorable and now Scott calls me disappointing.
Hillary lost the election what does that mean for Scott?
    Ohhhh……

  3. What a great photo. It shows pj’s prowess, strength, agility, alertness, drive, and power.
