Penn State Loses Key Player

Penn State linebacker Manny Bowen, who started 12 games and had 68 tackles this season, will miss the Rose Bowl because of a violation of team rules. Also out is wide receiver Saeed Blacknall, who started seven games and made 15 catches.

  1. Football is 11 on 11 , and since none of the players mentioned play quarterback, there absence makes no difference.

  2. Good for James Franklin. At Florida State, a player could have robbed a bank and that wouldn’t have been a violation of team rules. Same for Miami back in the 90’s.

  3. Just watched the end of ther KS St vs. TX A&M game. Bill Snyder greeted Kevin Sumlin with both respect and cheer – contrast that with how Mora acted last year
