Leonard Williams Named Jets MVP

The Jets players voted former USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams as MVP. Williams is not even 23 yet. So this qualifies as a good draft pick. Wonder if he would still be the sixth pick if that draft were today.

  1. Leonard Williams would go in the same place , but if time machines worked he might negotiate a better contract.

    • He’ll renegotiate up before long. It’s the 2nd K, maybe the 3rd, where he’ll make the killing. This just accelerates it all.

  2. Maybe you can use your connections to see what the odds would be if that draft was held today. Get back to us asap with the odds.

  3. Another great USC player for the NYJ – Mark Sanchez spent 6 years w. NYJ and aside from Namath, is the sole NYJ QB to take them to back-to-back AFC game(s).

The NYJ are a graveyard of chaos and waste – their sole reason for their existence is SB III – the Browns give them annual cover.

    • Ed Orgeron was extremely proud of saying he recruited and stole Leonard williams away from the Florida Gators and the Auburn Tigers.

        • I always forget that he had family in the area. That’s what i keep hearing about Aubrey Solomon also. Hopefully it works to our advantage.

          • Williams family in Ca are huge entertainment people and the cousin is a entertainment lawyer.. He reps Leonard.. He’s a great kid..

          • Looks like we didn’t miss out on much with Rashan Gary. #1 overall player from last year has 11 total tackles, 0.5 sacks this year for Michigan

          • usually agree with you, sam, but he’s a true frosh. I guess i just don’t like 17 and 18 year olds get bashed (i don’t think you were bashing him)

          • I wasn’t bashing him. Just saying he’s not having the year we all thought he would and he got our hopes up last January when he OV’d to USC.

  4. This is probably as close to a completely positive story as you will ever see here.

  5. Guess that means he was coached well at SC as he made such an immediate adjustment to the NFL. Another great USC player doing well in the NFL. Always to be expected. Maybe he’ll add on our to lead for NFL HOFamers some day.
