Western Michigan Needs A Coach

Minnesota hired Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck. That means two of USC’s three non-conference opponents (Western Michigan, Texas) will have new coaches.

  1. Makes sense WM gave Wisconsin a hard time. They have talent, SC won’t be able to sleep walk through this one.

    • Western Michigan will go back to its status as another Ball State or Northern Illinois.

    • TEXAS should be much better with wunderkind Herman and all that Lone-Star State talent. No way that’s gonna be an easy game for USC, nor should it be. No way.

      • I agree. There is always talent at Texas. With a new coach, they will be fire up when they arrive at the Coliseum.

        • I just don’t think SC looks very good on the OL and DL now. We’ve lost a lot of guys through injury, grad and transfer. Not sure what CH’s plans are as I don’t really follow recruiting anymore. Seems like we have a lot of work to do here and I figure TEXAS for a big bounce if Herman is all he’s supposedly cracked up to be.

  2. How are your math skills? ” three non-conference opponents (Western Michigan, Texas)”

    • I agree, because he built something out of nothing, as oppose to having a position handed to him .

      • What’s he gonna come up with now? Gophers Dig! Gophers Dig! Gophers Dig!

Sure is a big-time cheerleader type. I’ve never been impressed with his frenetic, frothy speeches so it’ll be interesting to see how he translates.

    • Surprised he didn’t go to a bigger named school. The Big 10 has some great coaches now.

  3. We know Wolf, if Western Michigan and Texas had Fleck and Strong running their programs they would beat USC. So, if USC wins both of those games, there is your explanation as to why they did.
