Cal Coaching Odds

Which familiar name pops up in the odds below for the Cal job from Bookmaker.eu? I haven’t heard anything at USC of Cal speaking to Trojans offensive coordinator Tee Martin. But I will say this: His close relationship with the recruiting services will make those sites eager to push him as a candidate in Pac-12 circles, whether or not  he interviews.

Jake Spavital +150

Chip Kelly +250

Justin Wilcox +300

Tee Martin +750

Jonathan Smith +1250

Les Miles +2000

Ron Rivera +2500

FIELD -110

Jack Spavital is just a guy who made a name for himself off of, Johnny Manziel . But nevertheless, nobody’s taking Cal to the promise land anyway, because it’s more difficult to get into that university then Stanford, believe it or not.

Cal had lowered its admission standards for football. They may have reversed that decision but they have the lowest graduation rates in the PAC-12.

“His close relationship with the recruiting services will make those sites eager to push him as a candidate in Pac-12 circles, whether or not he interviews.”

Isn’t recruiting a large part of college coaching? every year the coaches that recruit the best have the best teams. I would add the recruiting services have much better inside info than some reporters.

I hear Navy’s, Ken Niumatalolo may be interested in the Cal job also, so stay tuned

      • Pasadena Trojan

He would be the perfect fit for Cal. He is used to working with personnel that are not usually going to be All American in athletics, but they are in school and serving our county, and making the most out of what he does have to work with. Cal has the same problem, but inverted, they have great talent, but are slugs on it. He can take the talent and bring it up to where it needs to be. The only problem is, are the Cal players smart enough, discipline enough, and committed to a person who has “served” his country by coaching Navy. If he fails, it will because of Cal’s apathy of football and backing him up.

Wolf should apply for the job. We all have seen the vast amount of football knowledge he has accumulated over the last ten years. He is sure to win 10 games a year at Cal.

Tee is not ready for that kind of jump.

Sources tell FootballScoop Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo has been contacted by Cal and is considered a strong candidate for the position.

As usual, Wolf only cuts and pastes from one site.

Is this a joke? It’s not a real thing right? People can’t bet on who’s going to get hired by Cal, that’s just not real. I don’t think there’s enough people that even know Cal is looking for a coach to place a bet. What’s the odds on Rick Neuheisal? He told me how awesome he is, and I believe it. Who is he again?
