The real unanswered question is why the turf was fine all season for the ruins but when they finally have an important game to be played there the Rose Bowl management/City of Pasadena came up with that slip and slide surface.

No one was slipping when SC played the ruins in the rain at the Rose Bowl in 2014.

I left the sports bar where I was watching the game at the half time because I could see the ACC officials were putting their thumb on the side of Penn State in their calls and that the field was apparently not covered from rain to minimize the influence of USC’s speed, especially Adoree Jackson. What do you learn in college football these days, especially in the PAC-12? You learn that the game is rigged for the sake of TV ratings? At least it prepares you to live in a world that is also rigged. But then, college football becomes like taking a course in Cynicism 101.
