    • Adoree’s advantage in college football is his speed and that won’t mean much at the next level.

I don’t know if staying another year will help him CB though.

      • Technique wise. In terms of fine tuning his cover skills he could benefit from another season. He improved his tackling a great deal from seasons 1&2 in his junior year but that would also be another area to work on. As an all around football player i think he’s ready for the NFL, but if he wants to play CB he should stick around. IMO.

        • Adoree is at best, only a 3rd and long NFL nickelback and a punt and kickoff return specialist. Only Cleveland would draft him for anything else.

  1. So guy with blog claiming to be on the “inside”…has no info…. His biggest inside scoop was a failed drug test… woohoo!

  2. Does he even know what the draft is? He has no idea what a mock draft is.

    Stay or go, good luck

    • Right said Fred. AJ lost football time with the Olympic thing. He needs to polish some fundamentals and get his tackling down. Another season will help him a lot.

      • Adoree’s not getting any bigger or faster. He just got hurt for the first time in his career.

Don’t you think he’d learn more by practicing against NFL players? His limitations don’t seem to me to be based on skill or technique. Seems to me he’s hurt by height as a CB and that will never change.

He’s more a special teams player anyway. Does he need another year of practicing punt or KO returns? I think he’s got that down and it’s an innate skill IMHO.

Anyway, I can certainly see why he’d leave. And there’s no guarantee SC will get any closer to the 2017 POs than they did this year. In fact, USC will be weaker in the trenches, on both sides of the line – not our strengths anyway.

I don’t think any NFL team is going to draft Adoree for his tackling ability, not now, not later. In fact, if he gets any more aggressive out there, he might find himself broken in half before long. He’s a very small player. The guy should be drafted for how he gets away from people, not how he stops them.

Also, if he goes now, he comes off the Thorpe Award and a great season. Adoree’s at a peak. He could just easily have a less than stellar 2017 USC season and knock himself out of the second round.

Anyway, I hope he stays. There’s certainly no guarantee he helps himself if he does. Maybe the NFL gave him a bad grade which is why he should stay of course. Since I don’t consider him to be a superior NFL corner, not now, not later, I view him strictly as a returner who could also convert to a receiver because of his amazing speed. And were I him, I’d insist on a shot a wide-out at USC to show myself off there for the NFL because we haven’t seen him much there.

  4. Adoree’s incredible speed and coordination would give a USC offense the ability to score from anywhere on the field, Adoree”s kickoff and punt return talents are a given. Get rid of Adoree’s time on defense. Make him an offensive Pierce Arrow, a Speed of Light Blaze of Glory, from goal line to goal line. Tee Martin would have a WEAPON no other OC in today’s college ranks would have. FIGHT ON !!!

  5. Wolf,
While we’re on the subject, have you ever considered turning professional?

  6. Judging by what I see on Sundays, the CBs & safeties are expected to be physical and that just isn’t Adoree’s game. If he was 6-2 or taller, that would help his cause.

Adoree needs to stay another year and shift over to fulltime WR and continue his special team play. He needs the ball in his hands. He would be a force to contend with, be unstoppable, threatening to score every time he gets the ball in an open field in front of him. That, would raise his NFL draft stock sky high. I hope whoever Adoree is listening to, puts this in his head.
