What A Crowd!

MCLAUGHLIN.ARIZONAThe official attendance at tonight’s USC-Arizona game at the Galen Center was 4,930. Arizona is ranked No. 14 in the nation. USC was 16-3 entering the game. Arizona always brings more fans than other non-local Pac-12 schools. School is in session, which is usually the first excuse for the apologists, when I mention the paltry December student sections.

Oh wait, the Arizona game started at 6 p.m. There we go. There always has to be an excuse. The only one I’m willing to accept is not wanting to watch Andy Enfield direct traffic for two hours.

  1. That is saying a lot of something. It looked like a large crowd on TV except for the upper corners. Less than the Cal game. Trojans play exiting fast paced offense, but do not win when it counts. Enfield is an average coach in conference games who will not take this program to the status it deserves. He forces too many players to leave the university starting in his initial season w/ Byron Wesley the leading returning scorer.

  2. I have said it before and it applies again; when asked about success of his basketball team a local athletic director replied, “Basketball? It’s not a sport”
If the game were the only thing on TV I’d read a book. No excuse just fact.

  3. Just like with your “reporting”….there always has to be an excuse… Did Spiller sign with USC yet? Did Kiffin sign with Houston yet?

We get it, USC is not a basketball school…Do YOU want to ride your scooter to the game with the 6pm traffic? You B**tch and moan when the football team has to play a Thursday night game complaining that people can’t get there with the terrible traffic, but now you say it is not an excuse for the basketball team..

There you go again…creating negative “stories” where there is no story…If you hate USC so much, why don’t you quit this “blog”?

    • USC started out 13-0 in the preseason but now is 3-4 and tied with lowly Stanford for 6th place in the Pac 12 and it’s the writers fault for making up “negative stories”?

  4. It is time for USC to move on from the embarrassment of the DJ. I have always found it intolerable, but I was very pleased last night to see him finally get basically no response from the crowd. Time to act like we have some class and move on.

      • Would definitely prefer Petros. But he was only was available for a few games his last season because of other commitments.

  5. Meanwhile at bel-air tech – an 11 point beat down by AZ at Pauley…oh the horror….

Give them another loss this week!
