Friday Is The New Thursday

The Pac-12 will have seven Friday night games (including USC-Washington State) and only one Thursday night game next season. The schools themselves sought more Friday night games if they had to play during the week.

It’s too bad this didn’t happen sooner or maybe USC would not have had three straight Thursday night home games at the Coliseum.

  1. Maybe Larry Scott can work out getting Direct TV to show the Pac-12 network instead of doing what?

  2. Although weeknight games in general are weak, I’ll take a Friday night game over a Thursday night game every time. Thank god it’s not USC with that sole Thursday game. And thank god USC only has one weeknight game. I’m down with the change.

      • I’ve been a loyal fan before I attended school at USC. Do you honestly think I don’t know that? Did I mention anything about a Friday night game being new to me? I guess I can assume you think I missed the game vs. Utah this past season. Your act is boring.

        • Be nice to him. He says he’s die hard Giants fan, but doesnt watch baseball. What Giants fan, especially right now the titles doesnt watch baseball? He says Basketball sucks. He says Darnold this Darnold that. He’s a guy that goes to the zoo to feed the flamingos and goes home without seeing the Lions, Tigers etc.

          • Sas! He’s no fellow SF Giants friend of mine. It’s especially weird that he has multiple handles. I gave him my one and only reply. Moving on. Next!

    • I’d like to see the ratings for Friday night college games.
They must feel there’s an advantage to airing games Friday. Last I checked, Friday night was known as the Friday Night Death Slot for TV.

  3. Two other PAC-12 teams play on Thursday night, but against non-conference opponents as their season openers:
    Thurs., Aug. 31
New Mexico State at ARIZONA STATE
    North Dakota at UTAH

Glad that USC doesn’t have a Thursday night game.
