Can USC Beat Arizona?

This is a statement game for USC against Arizona. No, USC does not have Bennie Boatwright. But Arizona has missed Allonzo Trier the entire season.

  1. This was my thought too. With a stretch 4 like Boatwright who has a good 3 point shot, they become a much more interesting team. They don’t have the depth and 40 minute firepower of the top dozen teams in the country, but they looked like they were capable of an upset of one of those teams if the chips fell right on a given night, with Boatwright on the floor and Melton coming off the bench.

Luckily Boatwright will be back. Hopefully he finds his rhythm come P12 tourney, and SC plays its way into a mid-range seed (4-10), and we get a couple of upset wins. They need depth to make a real run and pose a threat to UCLA/Ariz/Utah/Oreg. But they are fun to watch regardless.

    • Totally agree. He gives us just enough to compete IF he stays out of foul trouble. Next season Henderson, Rakocevic will be experienced and incoming freshman Victor Uyaelumno will be the extra body that we need inside. The Duke transfer will give us an extra Offensive option. CharlesO’Bannon Jr and Jordan Usher will get minutes. We’re gonna have a good squad next season.

  2. Ucla is a glorified bandwagon school anyway, if their foozball team is doing good, everyone has been a fan for decades, but when they are bad they go into bruin bunkers, just like boosketball .. All the same.. They may have the most NCT’s in the conference currently .. And chirp that as arguing points .. But its the womens athletics who has the NCT’s at Bel Air Tech.. Its USC and Tree City with more mens NCT’s.. ✌#bandwagontrolls

  3. With or without Boat, Andy has done nothing to get the team ready for conference play by playing teams worse than Banning High School and that’s saying something

    • Exactly….You hit it on the head. But getting to 20 wins is easier when you play cupcake programs, right?

  4. That first half against Arizona may have been the worst half of SC basketball I have ever witnessed in my entire life. And that is a lot of life.

    • Julian Jacobs absence defensively and creating fast break opportunities was a big part of last year’s identity. He would have been balling for us. He wasn’t a great shooter, but when we needed to answer back he made plays.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda, but he was the attitude and spark.

    • Andy’s a fail, another lazy hire by Haden, Enfield just doesn’t have a Darnold to make him look good.

Your up Swanie, time to finally find USC a real basketball coach.

    • Not so, Mr. Wolcott. With 25 secs left in the game, Arizona 70, USC 66. Final score Arizona 73, USC 66. All stats nearly identical: shooting percentages, rebounding, free throws 14-18 Zona, 15-18 Trojans. Zona hit a critical three to gain the edge near the end.

  5. Whiny excuses, as usual Sammy, is all you got. You could hear a chicken f*rt at the Galen Barn.

At the 15 minute mark in the second half, bozo u/Andyain’twinning are down 21. And frankly Sammy, it could be worse. I mean, Az looks at times, like they’re playing drunk.

  6. Unbelieveable! Andyain’twinning “…screams and he bawls…,” huffs and he puffs, stomps up and down, snarls at the refs and still loses the crucial home game. Some things don’t change.

Moral of the story, bozo u BB SUCCs.

  7. Kaboom!!!! bozo u BB loses another Pac-12 game. Wait a minute, is that another loose bandwagon wheel rolling down the road?

Andyain’twinning goes 13 – 0 vs handpicked cupcakes, then, he goes 3 – 4 in the forced Pac-12 conf. schedule.

If only bozo u had B B B B Boatwright and a phaser – set ot stun, or Az only played 3 on 5.

  8. Wow, great call Sambo, who knew SoCal basketball sucked besides you?
    Tremendous insight.

    • We don’t suck.
      We’re all good.
I wouldn’t be surprised of we punched the Bruins on the nose at least once.
