With the quarterbacks listed in NFL mock drafts (North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky, Clemson’s Deshaun Watson and Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer) does anyone doubt Sam Darnold would be the No. 1 pick if he were available?

He is better than half of the nfl qb’s let alone the one listed.
Odds of the Day (for the 2017 Heisman):
Just Missed the Cut:
* Florida State S Derwin James
* Flabama QB Jalen Hurts
* Washington State QB Luke Falk
* Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald
* Penn State QB Trace McSorley
* Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham
* Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett
* Georgia RB Nick Chubb
10. South Florida QB Quinton Flowers (Odds: 75-1)
9. Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph (Odds: 60-1)
8. LSU RB Derrius Guice (Odds: 55-1)
7. Washington QB Jake Browning (Odds: 45-1)
6. Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough (Odds: 35-1)
5. Florida State QB Deondre Francois (Odds: 30-1)
4. Penn State RB Saquon Barkley (Odds: 25-1)
3. Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield (Odds: 20-1)
2. Louisville QB Lamar Jackson (Odds: 6-1)
1. USC QB Sam Darnold (Odds: 5-1)
Wow. little gutty Rosen didn’t even almost make the cut. He’s already in the waste paper basket. Can’t wait for USC to pummel him again next Nov. in the Coli.
Might be the biggest choke in the history of college sports.
We will see between Jackson and Darnold. Remember Jackson was lights out the first half of the season. Darnold stole his thunder. Going to be a great race.
The bar is always higher for those trying to be a repeat Heisman. Plus Darnold is more emotionally stable and won’t crack under the pressure.
What if Sam Darnold gets hurt next year and Jack Sears plays the whole season and SC wins the Natty. Jack Sears throws 45 td’s and 2 int’s. Would he be a first rounder if he were to declare for the draft? (Don’t confuse me with the fact that he only played one year) Or how about this………..
What if Helton and Co mess Darnold up, cost him millions and he ends up like Todd M ? What if Sam Bam aka SAS gets a job and becomes a productive member of society instead of a leach ? What if Helen actually posted something that made sense ?
What if you do the world a favor and get out of mom’s basement and become gainfully employed instead of camping out here on this “blog”?
What if he wasn’t a dickwad?
No question about it.
What if, oh wait, you are a piece of s##t!
No doubt Darnold has NFL coaches and executives drooling.
He’s a #1 overall pick next year.
Based on Darold’s 2016 stats probably, but not on his future 2017 performance.
His 2017 stats in the Rose Bowl… 5 TDs and 457 yards passing since the game was played in 2017.. Lol #rosensatathome
Have you ever gone through a mental competence examination? Just about everything you post makes no sense. Based on his 2017 performance? USC has played one game in 2017 and his stats are listed below. I’ll cut you a break though, because the gutty little bruins never play on New Years Day or January 2.
Bitch slapped the boy. Sometimes you just have to put the hammer down.
#VICTORYFORMATION LOL!!!
Wow! That is going to start the Own’s tears flowing again. Please stop he has nothing is his life but this blog.

OUCH! That’s gonna leave a mark. SCgrad12 just layed the smack down on ya. Maybe you should take a break. You don’t look good.
Get ready……….

Who would you rather have at the controls .. Darnold or Rosen ? Ready set GO!
Watson might be possibly ahead at this point of Darnold due to his speed. Trubisky is more of a true pro style QB with grewt throwing ability. He and Darnold equal if yiu saw Trubisky a lot
Thanks for the ACC report!
watson is inaccurate
Watson has no arm whatsoever compared to Darnold in terms of either accuracy or strength.
Go back to your Troll bed little gutty. You bruins need to understand you’re at the bottom of the barrel again. Think you will break the top 25 next season? Come on. Why don’t you brag a little? The off-season is your only time before the humiliation begins yet again.
He will be the #1 pick after next year and then everyone will see what Helton is made of.
What you have doubts about Helton? Tell us why little guy.
Hey Wolf, do some research on what Bill Parcells stated about NFL QBs. 1.) Must be a college graduate. 2.) Must have started at least 30 games in college. 3.) Must have a 65-70 winning percentage. 4.) Must play their best in the big games. Even if Darnold has the year everyone expects him and USC to have next year, don’t be surprised if he comes back for another year. Andrew Luck came back for his redshirt junior year and Peyton Manning and Tom Brady stayed all four years.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was playing for USC in 2018.
Why would Darnold turn down obscene #1 draft choice money and risk injury to stay in college? He’s WAY better than Mark Sanchez.
It was only weeks, even days, ago Trojan fans thought JuJu and Adoree, second rounders at best, would come back and you saw what happened there, as many predicted all along. Gone baby gone.
Darnold would have been a top 5 pick had he left now. This is all in his head now. After next season, he’ll be itching to play with the big boys on the biggest stage in the world. I just don’t see him coming back. Wouldn’t make sense to me.
The ESPN staff would disagree with you. They have Sam as the #21 ranked player in college football based on the 2016-17 season.
Let’s not talk about getting Sam Darnold off to the NFL just yet. I am sure he will be a high draft pick if he continues his upward trend, but even he wouldn’t jump on the bandwagon just yet. Look at quarterbacks who were “the real deal” in their freshman year but cooled off the following year. The adrenalin factor has to be accounted for. Let him season up a bit first.
At this point, I just hope Darnold doesn’t lose his nerve with all the expectations and the increasing size of the magnifying lens on his 2017 season. Teams will now have a year to gameplan for him. And Wolf will look for every bit of gristle the scouts throw out there for whatever his supposed limitations are for second-guessing every move made with him by the coaches.
You cannot defend what Darnold does. You can defend a stay in the pocket passer, or a runner qb, but Darnold is just unbelievably quick in his reads, his adjustments, and his release. In a class of his own. Plus he has a linebackers body.
I don’t know how you game plan for a guy who can run, throw, throw on the run, think quicker than any college QB I have ever seen and is always cooler than a popsicle.
If Darnold had a McKay/Robinson/Carroll OL, he’d be even more of a killer. USC had a totally mediocre OL all season long. Not bad. Just okay.
Franklin, SW’s hero, had a month straight to figure out a stop-Darnold attack for the Rose Bowl and he failed miserably because there’s only so much you can do against greatness like that. Saban would be the first to tell you that the Sam Darnolds of the world are a mess to stop.
Why can’t the best minds in the NFL figure out how to stop Aaron Rogers? Time and time again he does the exact same stuff game after game.
If Darnold stays healthy, he’ll most certainly be in NY for the Heisman ceremony. I’d take him over any USC QB I have ever seen. Can’t wait to see him pull off more magic in 2017. Dudes like this don’t show up often.
