When In Rome . . .

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is taking his team to Rome (in Italy) for three spring football practices. This does not violate the new rule prohibiting off-campus practices during spring break because this trip occurs near the end of Michigan’s semester.

      • Think about how crappy it is in Michigan in the Spring if they have to fly the football team to Italy to stay relevant in recruiting.

      • MICH better start beating OHIO ST soon and often or it won’t matter if they start practicing in Bora Bora.

They’re just a Buckeye doormat and have been for years. So far Harbaugh hasn’t really delivered. He’s been a master of losing big games so far while at Ann Arbor, even though he seems to play at home all the time.

        • The upcoming season will define him, because the Stanford, and 49er residue is gone

    • MI Football generates more than enough for a trip to Italy. Suspect that MI Football carries most if not all other sports at MI.

  1. Who is paying for the vacation, err… spring practice in Rome? If it is being paid by the Michigan students with higher fees, they should not pay.

  2. Just another: place, group, individual(s) – that will be so glad to see Jim Harbaugh leave.

      • Saw a blurb elsewhere that Tui’s brother got a job at SC. Wonder if it is true? Good pick up. Hopefully the kid from Utah isn’t far behind.

        • Interesting..since early last week,Washington fans were ballistic..Tufele down to Utah visit this weekend.Only leaving Home reason for him to stay…I believe we get him.At the end of his visit he said to others on visit”T N T coming to USC”

  3. Harbaugh couldn’t match up against Fla. St with all their speed. So much for 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. Next year Ohio State’s freshman OL will be way better.

  4. So Michigan has to go all the way to Rome, Italy for practice yet won’t play a game outside of the state.

  5. If UM or the Board of Trustees (what ever their title) or the state legislature puts a kabosh on the trip Harbaugh has a built in excuse that he isn’t being supported. Well, beat the Buckeyes, win a major bowl, win your conference. He is still a 2nd best performer: Stanford, 49ers, UM
