The refs didn’t have the benefit of replay in 1979. Those clowns this year still couldn’t get the call right even after looking at the replay six times.
I remember that game there was even talk of Charles White being high on cocaine. Were the refs biased?
As unfair as it is the score hasn’t changed these many years later any more than the pitch for a touchdown from a Texas quarterback on his knees has changed.
The day after is still the day after.I cannot recall a post game score change even when evidence calls for it. I suppose in future this might change…. my memory will get better.
Just like ND receiving a great call when the TE caught the ball for a first down and the ref marked him back 3 yards to have the Trojans punt. Or the recovery by sc in the end zone against nd and the refs allowed nd to keep the ball. If the refs give the ball to usc on both plays, usc wins the game coming back from being behind.
