USC Quick Thought

USC.UCLA.2016.3Are the people who complain that USC does not have a bye next season going to be upset that the Trojans get a week off if they make the Pac-12 championship game? Seems like a pretty big advantage and I’d take over having a week off to rest up for Arizona or Arizona State.

  1. Hey Birdcage, don’t you EVER have any answers? Or is it always just questions that my wife can dream up?

Sorry you’re getting kicked around so badly after all your theories keep getting kicked around so bad. Good luck with your loser Troll friends. You guys are all peas in a pod.

  2. It comes down to a couple thing. Injuries, if SC manages injures it won’t be to big a deal. The other is IF they make the CCG. Big advantage if they do, if they don’t they would have been better off with a buy week ealier.

  3. More passive aggressive conjecture… just what this website needs. Such a joke. Does the Daily News actually pay for this tripe?

  4. Is there any possible SC schedule Wolf would be happy with? It’s either too hard, too easy, too many byes, not enough byes, too many late games, too many early games, etc.

  5. Wolf, Didn’t you already make this trivial and pointless argument last week?
    Running out of original material?

  6. Hey Wolfbag, when you’re playing well the last thing you want is a bye. If USC is in contention to play for the Pac-12 Title, that must mean they will be playing at a high level.

  7. I too think it is time for Wolf to get over all the let down of losing the election and pick up the pieces. Get back into the game Wolf, start being a journalist. Write original articles, get inside info, feed it to us and we will get off yourass.

  8. It’s just a little early to keep talking about games in November. However, I agree Wolf, having two weeks to prepare and rest up for UW or Stanford is an advantage. Not sure how big, we’ll see in November. They may wish they had a week off earlier instead. Stanford will be playing Notre Dame and UW will have the Apple Cup, both at home, while SC is resting. OK back to basketball, when is Bennie back.

  9. If USC gets Tufele, Lewis.
greg johnson, Jackson, and Falo, they could project into the #3 class. Go Trojans.

    • Stevie T, the nose guard SC took out of desperation, according to sw, is tearing it up at the Senior Bowl practices.
      Fight On!

      • He’s 350 lbs of beast Jo…word is he can’t be blocked one on one…he’s just tossing dudes!

        • I was watching the OL drills vs the DL on the NFL Network, and he was just like you described. He blew by the dudes that were supposed to be blocking him. .

          • Right!? I’ve exchanged tweets with him, and he truly is a NICE guy!! We Trojans should be honored he’s been a part of the family!

    • Don’t count out Aubrey Solomon. You never know.

PS. Someone should really break the news to Solomon and his mother that USC OWNS MICHIGAN.

  10. They should make the CCG based on the low quality in the Pac-12 So. it’s a good deal if they get there and they will get there.

    • Word is they have a former Trojan in the fold as an analyst.. He last coached in the NFL in 16 and was on John Robinson’s staff ..local kid from S-LA

    • Wolf must have read your question. He is about to announce some changes that were just made. Coaches, Wilson, Connelly, Wilcox, and Heyward were let go.
      Replacements to follow.

  11. Levi Jones will be announcing on ESPN on signing day. USC alllll the waaaaay!

  12. I hear Jones wanted to commit to the coaches during his Official Visit but Clay Helton told him to wait off and do it on National Signing Day. Sounds like CH wants to put SC’s junk on the table let people know who’s back.

  13. Before I comment I usually read the comments to avoid sounding like a copy artist. My problem is I learned more recruiting news from the comments than reading the journalist.
I have been reading this blog for a few years and I know it’s usually a day late and a dollar short, but it is quickly becoming a week late and a thousand dollars short.
    Who do we complain to?

  14. Late to the party on this one gents, but I wanted to comment quickly on Godfrey, the 3* CB from O’Dowd. Another site was lauding his potential, saying he’s an athletic freak and runs a 4.4 w a 37 vertical and smart ball skills…
Some were concerned regarding his 3* status and lack of PAC-12 offers.

A little research hints that he had a very specific type of knee injury…one that could can lead to uneven forces(and eventual failure) on the acl in a plant and pivot athlete such as a DB…this injury is a “red flag” to those who know about these things. Could this have dissuaded other potential offers?

The crux…we may have happened into an incredibly UNDERRATED, freakishly talented CB!! IF his injury was treated in a very specific fashion, the USC med staff could possibly have “signed off” on this kid as one of the rare cases of excellent recovery and functional capacity…

This kid could be an absolute phenom as a CB…our excitement in landing him has been muted by the 3* rating…this could be anomalously LOW…im excited about this “3 star” with high 4 star potential guys!
