Lynn Swann On Schedule

SWANN.COLISEUMLynn Swann doesn’t say much during his monthly in-house interview. That said, here’s his comments on USC’s early schedule.

“We continue to schedule top competition. We start off next season with Western Michigan, a team which lost only one game last year, its bowl game to Wisconsin. We have Texas in the first month, and Stanford is early in week two. It will require us to take the lessons of last year and apply them to this season, so we are better at the start and give ourselves a stronger chance to play for a Pac-12 Championship.”

  1. You see wolf? Take lessons from your last posts and apply them to your next posts. Make them better, positive and especially, more ”Inside” than just ”old cut n’ paste” wing em’ jobs you consistently spew out.

  2. Great to know Swann is hard on the case. He had something to do with USC’s turnaround this season and this is well-known inside the ath dept.

  3. So far I like Swann. Still has the football player type of personality. Knows what a strong work ethic can bring.

  4. He didn’t say much because there isn’t much to say. Football is a short 9 months away. He supports our programs. I guess that’s about all he needs to say.

    • He’s not going to whine at this point about a lack of a mid-season bye, or the road/road week on short rest. Class act.

  5. We are fortunate in meeting a Stanford, team that is in decline, and a TX that is ‘hoping’ Herman can win. As to Western MI…well you can’t blame Fleck for leaving for MN. Mind you Fleck’s real goal is ‘the Princess’ just as it was for another former MN Golden Golpher coach Lou Holtz.

Having said that ‘…strike while the iron is hot – get to the final four and win an NC’

    • Stanford might be more of a challenge than we thought.
Quarterback Ryan Burns, who led the Indians over SC 27-10 last year, will be returning, after pondering whether to leave as a grad transfer. He soured on Stanford after he lost the starting job to Keller Chryst midseason, but Chryst suffered a torn ACL knee injury in Stanford’s Sun Bowl win over North Carolina. Chryst will be sidelined for at least the next six months. So they will have an experienced signal caller next season.

      • ‘..je comprenne mon ami mais…..Browne is gone and Darnold is here! Look ‘the fraud’ knows if they lose this game against USC it’s over and thus they shall bring their best ‘but’ the talent at USC is not only better than ‘the fraud’ but they’re also hungry to make the rest of the USA ‘know’ USC is back

I so loath ‘the fraud’ almost as much as ‘The Princess’….they both bask in their fraudulent cliam it’s hard to be admitted their….if you can walk you’re an Card9nal’ or ‘drunk mick’

  6. Anyone know if Swann is helping out in the recruiting process? Isaiah Palo sure had some really great things to say about Clay Helton. Sounds like he has the recruiting thing down, just be himself.

  7. Stanford ,if their q/b is healed will be a tough early test, among some fine programs.I don’t see any marshmellow/creampuffs

      • I think they will be back with a vengeance in the north; if David Shaw is the coach everyone says he is ,look out …have you looked at the quality of their recruiting class…like Bama’s, and ucla has quite a few at top end,Mora will have them ready…SC is doing well, and I hope spring and fall practices get them ‘real’ ready this time…

  9. ‘The Princess’ has rigged the deck for 2017 – they don’t play FL St. or Clemson. why those stalwart clowns that be beholdin; to our poster ‘Jack B’ play” Boston College, NC, Miami-Fl , Wake Forest and NC St..

Get ready a mere 30+ weeks hence for the destruction of ‘The Princess’.. and their ‘….80 yd. field and always always have to clear it all through the femi-&@#$!. What a stench the left emits!…..

  10. Haden was the Suge Knight of AD’s. He wanted to be the star of the show even above the Athletes.
