Defensive end Terrance Lang of Maranatha High School did not sign a letter of intent. He is expected to grey shirt, which means he would enter in the spring semester. This is usually what happens when you need a scholarship for someone else but still are willing to take a recruit.
Great move – just seems like there is more to it – please dig a bit deeper!
#AndWhereIsBucket?
#whereischaz?
Possible grey shirt due to grades… Thats the intel. Maybe a trip to a JC or CC is needed.
With Stevie Tu’ikolovatu moving on, with Bigelow a question mark, with Jacob Daniels having a slow first two seasons, i think Tufele/Tuipulotu will both play a lot and make a quick impact AND/OR force Bigelow and Daniels to step ut up.
We will see how this all pans out in spring ball.
Should be interesting. If we stay hungry we shouldn’t have a problem.
Exactly…. Looking forward to 2017.
I’m hoping to make it out to the spring game. Hopefully Little League games aren’t scheduled that day. Reminds me of the year after we beat Iowa. Lots of excitement.
Sounds about right.
Bigelow’s injuries are the only question mark. if he’s healthy He’ll be a beast.
Yep but Wolf wouldn’t know that Dareus Rogers and Darnell Bing were greyshirts because of grades
True!
Commonly, the recruits with grade/test score issues end up at ASU.
In the case of Lang …He will probably need 12 units at a CC., while the admissions (USC) works to secure his first actual semester at USC while going through proper clearing house issues.. Darnell Bing and recent GS WR Darreus Rogers went through the same processes and is on track to graduate.
So… All you Helton (Gomer) haters out there, what do you think now? Maybe that you are bit reactionary, like all the Trump haters. It’s a grand new day in ‘Merica!
I can happily and honestly say I never dropped the “Gomer” term. Nor did I ever swear off this staff. I did however sit back quietly and wait, patiently. Was it hard? Hell yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. We had to give the entire team and staff some time. Learning on the job is not for USC, but it has worked out that way. All Trojans of any viewpoint can rejoice tonight.
I’ve never called him Gomer either.
But i might start calling him Woody as in Woody Harrelson.
“Billy Ho! GOOD to see ya!”
Tell me you catch what I’m throwing.
“Cut this mother****er”
White Men Can’t Jump bro!
F’ing magical. Yes! Probably my all-time favorite movie. Major League being a close second.
Agree. Yep.
They stand the test of time for sure.
Heywood: Hey how’s your wife and my kids ?
Yes! Classic. Easily my favorite line of that movie. That was the face of Big League Chew. Did you know that?
Lol.. Yep!
That’s f’ing funny!
That’s a relief, because Woody Woodpecker was at SUCLA centuries ago! LOL!
LOL!
Better than Woody as in Woody Hays.
Exactly, but fan boys don’t understand that way of thinking, they want you to agree with everything they say… lol
You said it earlier, Fred. “Wait and see.” My mentality all the way. Just had to check in with ya earlier today. It has since come
full circle to actual success. Good times.
Exactly
SC is playing like crap. We’re out of sync. UW has lost three straight games. This would be a bad loss.
LET’S GO!
Boatwright is back!
He only played a few minutes. Took some shots. I wonder why he sat the last 8 mins. Maybe to ease him back. Rakocevic needs to play more aggressive. That’s three big men, someone has to take the lead. We can’t continue to try and find who we are game after game……….
My blood pressure is rising!!!!
I’m ok. False alarm.
LETS GO!
BB showing out tonight. Good stuff.
Good win. I like how we stayed tough. Metu, Boatwright, Melton all played big.
Yup. No more 3’s for Melton.
He looked tired from guarding Fultz which is understandable since he’s the #1 pick in the draft. But our freshman are pulling they’re own weight. Once Boatwright gets a few more games in we should be solid the rest of the way.
Good point. Either way, solid comeback and W.
We’ll take it.
Boatwright is balling!
Fultz us good.
He’s keeping UW in this.
But we’re fight back.
I think my Bruins just picked up a late LOI From a 4* out of Peninsula High. Erik Lorig! #8clap #4sUp #BruinRevolution
F*ck yeeeeah!!!!
I’m so happy for yooze guyz!!!!
Which means another series of losing begins. LOL!
Helton said it at his press conference earlier:” I have always felt you win with big men playing great defense. ”
How long have we been waiting for a USC HC to say those words? PC?
At SC, you do win with those but having great athletes all over the field and a qb with moxie doesn’t hurt.
That is the key to winning championships. Watch the Super Bowl and bet on the team with the best defense.
Well with the looks of this class it looks like my proclamation of not buying tickets was a bit premature. Looks like the Old Trojans family will be sitting in hard plastic again this year.
Ladies and gentlemen, this officially has to be one of the worst months in the life of Scott Wolf and his loyal band of ucla trolls. It all began with the miraculous comeback in the Rose Bowl by scoring 17 unanswered fourth quarter points against Penn State. Follow that up with another drubbing of the gutty little bruins on the basketball court, then a top 5 recruiting class in football today, and finishing with USC taking out tonight Washington in Seattle 82-74. It’s great to be a Trojan. FIGHT ON!
Amen!
Preach it.
*SC 82 WA 74 – Bennie Boatwright’s and his 23 points return!
A good road win. A loss would have been a stain on our RPI but UW is underrated.
Bennie was amazing. Washington paraded the PAC Championship football trophy before the game. Then lost.
Brad Daugherty set them straight.
He said “USC should’ve played in the CFB Playoffs, I’m just keeping it real “
Unless you are Michigan and just over-sign, then kick kids off later.
