USC Ranked No. 27

USC did not make this morning’s Associated Press Top 25 poll, finishing 27th. Maybe some good news is that SMU was No. 25, which means USC actually played a ranked team during its nonconference schedule. Meanwhile, ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi has USC as a No. 8 seed in his mock NCAA Tournament bracket against Marquette (and Katin Reinhardt). Winner plays Gonzaga.

  1. With all due respect WoIfman, when you are not ranked in the top 25, you are not RANKED! What the heII is “ranked 27”

  2. Mock NCAA Tournament brackets are about as useless as a Bruin football postseason ticket. Nobody has yet to predict the bracket winners, much less who is playing.

  3. I suppose a mock bracket is a glimpse at where they are ranked currently. Hopefully they get some big wins this month and go far in the conf. tourny. The 8-9 spot is a tough one, 3 of the 4, 8 seeds lost last year. Even if you win then you get the 1 seed next. You almost hope for an 11 or 12 spot.

  4. scotty, when USC decimated ruinville, they were in the Top 10. So, that means USC has defeated at least two teams in the Top 25. When they beat ruinville at their dump called Polly Podunk, they will have defeated three Top 25 teams. You are welcome with the help.

  5. One would think ranked at 27th would get you a 7th seed. Need some wins this month to boost them back in the top 25.
