  1. This man’s list of pupils is considerably more prominent than that of Robinson’s, plus he has head coaching experience. I’d say hire this guy right away if possible.

  2. The guy was able to a take few running backs that Pete Carroll really wanted and he’s had success with a lot of them. He would be a good hire.

  3. Granted, Ron Gould is an excellent RB coach and recruiter, this is a generated rumor with no merit…Some bloggers on other sites have Ron Gould on a “wish list”.. Swann and Helton keep things close to the vest.. I don’t see a hire happening for several weeks.. The hire will be a rockstar RB coach and recruiter though..

  4. Oh shoot…. I was hoping Lendale White was a candidate (just joking). Ron Gould has a track record that shows he knows the RB business alright. Hope Swanny can make it happen.

  5. He won’t get more than Tommie Robinson. Maybe the same. IMO. Robinson was just name Pac12 recruiter of the year so I’m sure Helton tried his best to get him $.

  6. Don’t judge a coaches recruiting skills off of UCDavis, because that School is always going to be the 3rd, or 4th choice of any player.

  7. Whoever they get, I expect that they will get someone good. They shouldn’t have a hard time filling this void. SC is a hot commodity right now. They should hire someone pretty soon. They can’t wait forever. Spring practice is coming up.
