    • Pete!!!
We talked about this in detailed description. We’re gonna have a LB group that will be in the same breath with as the Carroll/Ken Norton LB’s. The stars will be a plenty but the depth will there also.

We now the best group of LB’S early on and its only February 19.
      Bo Calvert
      Raymond Scott

That group will include two more big time LBs soon.

Solomon Tuesday and Merlin Robertson will join them and all i can say get out of the way.

      • Absolutely!!!! What a great surprise. Always believed he was a Trojan.Thought commit was a few months off. Got to be our next great#55..

      • Understand IE is his nick name. His leadership and character is supposed to be huge..Reading where he is quite close with two current Trojans..
Unbelievably cool how we are the family for so many Poly kids.
        A bond with deep roots.

  1. Seems the coaches have a plan and are executing it. The question becomes can the team live up to the expectations, and keep this class together. I certainly hope so. Give em hell Clay!! Fight on!

    • Your right about plan. The restriction will be how many we can sign.It will be a smaller class 15-20 depending on graduation and early departs. Win our games, keep with tradition 2017 season will be fun.

      • I personally think we’re still a year off, of course I’ve been wrong once or twice before. But none the less, I’m with you, next year will be a hoot! Fight on!

        • When our OL and DL dominates every week we will be back with roots in the ground. Sam and company will make 2017 special in a new way .2016 was so great , return to the ROSE BOWL. We’re on the right path.

  2. They have now got a commit from the two leaders on each side of the ball by 2019. Clever recruiting by USC, I bet the coaches wished they had thought of it, but we know USC recruits itself.

  3. KA-KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    (ECHO!!!)

If anyone was listening to me during signing day and the immediate days following i shouted this kids name loud and clear about how good he and hiw much we need to land him. I also felt he our top target and must get player. And what do you know??????
Clay Helton just took a low blow from Urban Meyer on signing day and comes back to knock him on his a**. And if college football’s not paying attention this is the big time national recruit that USC stiffed armed Meter for. Remember Porter Gustin?
    Anyways…
Awesome pick up for us and we’re rolling with momentum for and I’ll say it again an EPIC 2018 recruiting class.

I encourage everyone to go hudl and check out his junior highlight tape.
You’ll be impressed impressed. He takes over games. Just destroys blockers to make tackles..
    Rey Maualuga style….

    FUTURE DAY 1 STARTER.

    • I could hear your Ka Boooom up here at 6,000 ft.

It will be interesting how the coaches use spots..We are at 84/85.Maybe a DL grad transfer.2018 class will be restricted by totals.
EVERY SPOT WILL BE TROJAN GOLD..

    • I disagree. They are not binding, yet they can set the overall direction, tone.
This sends huge message to the 2018 recruits.

        • Or just like Stephen Carr.

True, kids can and do change their mind, but it’s a good indication of intent. A good season next year that shows we are still on the rise will go a long way to making these early commits stick and certainly a high percentage of kids keep with their commitments.

    • Ditto, but promising and, I like the path this coaching staff is heading. Over a year ago, I was thinking Helton was overwhelmed. Now I hope he sticks around awhile to make a name for himself. Just hope he can keep a decent coaching staff together (which is going to make a big difference).

  4. Awesome get. Now, go get a couple of defensive tackles to support him. Defense wins games. Ask Thug U aka ugly when USC’s defense dominated the ruins.
