Four-star wide receiver Manuel Allen of Corona Centennial, who committed to USC last month, has decommitted. Maybe Allen realized USC has 10 wide receivers on its roster for next season. And will probably bring in 2-3 more next year.

USC will sign Jalen Hall from Hawkins and Amon-Ra St Brown of Mater Dei. The top 2 WR’S in the country. USC will CLEAN UP this year. MARK MY WORDS. If you thought 2017 was a great class, 2018 will floor you. One for the ages.
You’re right on again … Fight On!
You got that right Sam…Fight On!
Class will be 20 spots or below. We will have highest avg. Per commit.2018 seems light on RB,especially out west.Any RB you like?
Looks like we have backed off of Pledger. He was only 5-8/5-9. Haven’t seen much movement early on with the RBs. Probably looking for a top of the line RB recruit.
Don’t forget about marquis spiker
I like him too. Looks like he’s all UW right now. I think if Hall and St. Brown were Trojans it may scare off other WR’S. But he’s big 6-3 and strong. Could be a possibility.
I would love to steal another UW player this next recruiting season. Last year was hilarious reading their blog.
That was freaking hilarious!
Completely and wholeheartedly agree with you, kid just wants an easier path to the field, or else we have silent commits and cut him loose. Either way not the end of the world. USC will finish with the best class in a decade, I believe.
Definitely. There will be more interest and commits during spring ball. It’s be pick and choose this time around.
Are we having a December signing period?
I think they will know by the summer time.
Yup – ‘says’ he wants to ‘COMPETE’ but he really doesn’t want to…he’ll land up at Stanford or at ‘The Princess’
Maybe Nebraska, he’s friends with Tyron Lindsay.
Where ever he goes it’ll be a program where the competition will be minimal at best.
They need to change the word “commit” to “expressing interest” when describing the teenaged ball player.
The way the word commit was explained to me is through the breakfast analogy. The farmer who grew the oranges for the juice expressed interest. The farmer who milked the cow for the butter and grew the wheat for the bread expressed interest. The maid who gathered eggs expressed interest. But the pig who gave the bacon was committed to that breakfast.
Teenagers rarely show that kind of commitment.
Couldn’t have said it better. The word commit needs nothing when it comes to recruiting.
On the other hand all the colleges shed “commits” if they can trade up in the days leading up to LOI Day, so the flakiness is rampant between teenagers and the 30-65 year old head coaches.
It’s good to see high school players not making knee jerk decisions on what college to attend, because it’s all about opportunities for them to get on the field, not making a coach comfortable with a deep depth chart .
It may not necessarily be today’s HS players jumping to commit early alone. The coaches are pushing them to commit for publicity purposes and brag about it to other recruits. Its like a business plan of boasting.
