Arizona State 83, USC 82

Where to begin? USC led by six points (82-76) with 30 seconds left. Arizona State finished the game on a 12-1 run. Bennie Boatwright had the ball stolen with 13 seconds, committed a foul with seven seconds that led to two free throws to give the Sun Devils their 83-82 lead. Boatwright then missed a 3-pointer to win the game. The sophomore scored a team-high 22 points and was 5-8 on 3-pointers to lead USC (21-8, 8-8).

USC is now 7-29 in Pac-12 road games under Andy Enfield.

  1. The Pac 12 Network announcers assumed that SC had the game won with the 10 point lead with 2;30 left…unbelievable choke.

    • That 3 pointer after the brick thrown up with <9 seconds to go was the knife in the heart. Awful awful loss!

      • I was stunned when they couldn’t inbound the pass. That’s basic fundamentals. When Bennie Boatwright got the great look at the 3 at the end of the game I thought we would pull out the win but he launched a brick.

  2. USC’s defense gave up three pointers like Halloween candy. Why? Why? Why?
    Why was Bennie Boatwright guarding Justice #44??? Why? Why? Why?

  3. No question a real choke job with Stewart missing the front end of an one and one. Lousy coaching at the end with no plays to inbound the ball. McLaughlin dribbled way too much , and then turned it over. The same crap as last season when lost to Providence in ncaa.
    Enfield is not a sharp game coach proving it many times over.

  4. What is baffling, Jack, is that this same team that blew a sure win Sunday night against ASU handily thrashed #3 ranked f uucla earlier this year. It’s hard to understand how they can play so well and then so badly.

    • Easy answer, Marv;
      UCLA had no respect for SoCal then and even less now after flogging them by 32.

  5. No, Thank God.
    You say you’re not a fan then say I hope “we” win an NIT game.
    You’re an obnoxious, mercenary front-runner who depends upon the achievements of 19 year-olds for his source of self-esteem.
