USC Quick Thought

Arizona hired Central Michigan athletic director Dave Heeke to be its new athletic director. Heeke was athletic director at Central Michigan for 11 years. Translation: He’d never have a chance at USC, where being an athletic director disqualifies you from getting the job.

  1. Well Scott you failed to do your research.

Mike McGee was the AD @ Univ. of Cincinnati from 1980 – 1984 before he came west to be the same at USC (1984-1993)

  2. Not a quick thought about Lynn Swann. It is time to get rid of Cynthia Cooper ( Women BB ), and Richard Gallien ( Women Tennis )
The basketball squad gets worse each year with sloppy execution, no leadership, and nary someone who can dominate. Gallien’s team this year is less than mediocre. He has been around over 20 years with a best of three final fours losing each time. Know most people could care less about women sports at USC, but the national titles lately have been in soccer, beach volleyball, and water polo on the lady’s side. Women T & F along with Lacrosse are gaining ground rapidly on the national scene. One final note about Baseball this past weekend. Hubbs is supposed to be a pitching specialist yet Wake Forest scores 46 runs in three games. This program will go nowhere with him as head coach.

    • The former is like too many star athletes – they just can’t understand why no one can play like they did i.e. they haven’t a clue on how to make an average player into a star player and they never will.

Per the latter – sack his back end ASAP – he’s ‘connected’ to someone in the administration probably a old bar buddy of ‘Capper’.

Hey Scott any news on just what penalty was leveled against Haden for that plundering he did per the Mayr Foundation?
