The L.A. District Attorney’s office declined to file sexual assault charges against Osa Masina and Don Hill. Masina still faces charges in Utah.

    • I would think if they could not come back, it would be because of the drug/alcohol use. If there isn’t any evidence of sexual assault, they are free and clear of that then and that shouldn’t be a reason for the school to keep them away.

        • I think USC has moved on with the two players and they will not be invited back. I think Helton and the administration want to run a clean program and there is no tolerance for any major issues.

          • I think Helton is smart enough and his bench deep enough to cut them loose.
Seems like a good man, Helton. Let’s see if he is the guy that can finally change the culture of SoCal football.
“Winning the right way” didn’t ever really work under St. Pat (or anyone before him)

          • Take a look at Baylor and you can see what happens. It ruins both the program and the career of the head coach.

  1. Please don’t tell me this is another Florida St. type incident that involved Jamies Winston?

    • David, The game now is for the woman to lie if her feelings are hurt, to look shaken before the Police, before the Judge. The man is customarily guilty until proven innocent. Learned this while conducting a Christian Ministry for 5 years in a Texas State Prison. Fortunately,Coach Helton and his Staff don’t play “games” with their players.

      • Well said Schammer47. It is a no win situation on both sides mainly due to “raging hormones”.

    • Yup. I’ll take all this drama and a 9-3 season over a 4-8 season any time. By the way, how’s UCLA coming with their O-Line?

      • Pete,
As I thought, character is not as important as winning football games for SoCal fans like you.
At least you guys are consistent.
P.S. It’s basketball season, I’ll start thinking about our O line after we hang another basketball banner.

        • Metaphor,
How much will the banner cost ugly this time? I say around $50k, with Ball and Leaf being on the payroll at ugly. Reminds me of the Johnny “Cheetin” Wooden when players were bought on a regular basis.

          • Are you referring to John Wooden the best coach in the history of his sport?
All American as a player and a coach?
Mentor and life coach worshipped by all who played for him or coached with him? That John Wooden?
He didn’t need to cheat, PT, he had the best lining up to play for him. You might be thinking of The Ticketmaster, Marv Goux when you’re thinking of that sort of sordid behavior.

        • What character? Masina’s off the team. There is no drama. That’s something you UCLA fans conjure up because of 4-8 record. Here’s UCLA’ real problem. It’s your AD. Dan Guerrero can pick a women’s lacrosse coach, but when it comes to the the only two revenue-producing sports (men’s football and basketball), he has two guys who have a lock on third and fourth place in the Pac-12 every single year. Forget about the cliche’ “can’t win the big one,” these guys can’t even get to the big one. To quote a former UCLA football coach: Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing. Now, tell me about character.

  2. Well,Well,Well. Shows how much the self proclaimed experts on this website know. According to them, he was guilty without any evidence provided.

  3. He won’t return to USC. The University recommended expulsion after the Title IV investigation.

  4. Good to know one is still not guilty , does not have to be guilty because someone just says you are…at least in the judicial system; a crime demands evidence and elements of that crime must be present; too bad SC has some how forgotten this ,when it comes to coaches and athletes; at SC you are assumed guilty and have to prove your innocence…same result will occur in Utah
