Agreed. If he actually believes there’s nothing wrong with the scheduling from a timing and broadcasting standpoint, he’s delusional. I think the big east has had more games televised nationally. The fact that one of the P12 conf semifinals is on the P12 network and the other is on at 11:30 EST is a complete joke.
The college basketball and football might is tilted towards New York. There is no love loss from them towards the west coast in particular LA and USC and ucla as well as Stanford who just happen to dominate in NCAA championships above and beyond the rest of the nation.
Fox Sports is headquartered here and the future would be to break from ESPN and latch on 100% with FSN for all broadcasts.
Altman’s sole interest is his personal finances and nothing else.

Thanks Phil….btw down on the camps this morning. The new ‘University Village’ is close to completion looks like ‘In Brugges’. They also have ripped out where that clunky awful attire for squares, Silverwoods and Tams bookstore used to be – the renovation is good – no fountain at Hoover and Jefferson anymore – all paved in with big wide stones. The fountain across from the old student union has been renovated – looks good too.
Understand they’re going to reduce Jefferson down to ‘one lane’ btwn. Fig and Vermont.
The Post season PAC-12 Playoff Tournament is nothing but crap, IMHO. The extraordinary number of NCAA iA BB Teams invited to the March Madness Tournament is nothing but crap. The “crap” is apparently as must; To pay for the horrendous annual debt NCAA Women’s Varsity Sports dumped on all campus’s; To provide unwarranted income to airlines, motels, restaurant, and cab drivers across the lower 48, something that makes politicians happy but ruins the game of basketball.

Coach Altman, what will happen when ESPN implodes from the loss of millions of viewers? Will allowing them to put our games on at 11PM EST have been a big plus or a big disaster?
Phil Knight will partner up with Michael Jordan and buy Disney/ABC/ESPN and the Ducks still won’t win a championship in football or Basketball.
USC did not play well enough to beat ucla. They just could not get it going enough to get the win. They had some nice run or minutes but not enough to get the win. At times in the first half they looked like they where bored and did not want to be there.
Face it, Altman has had enough rapists and drug dealers on his teams that he has no choice but to toe the company (conference) line. DIRTY program up there.
