  1. Scooter, what is you point? Remember SC is on spring break. Let the kid enjoy himself. As long as he does not get into trouble or drink the water, he will be okay.

  2. Sam. What happens in cabo stays in cabo. Don’t end up like baker mayfield. Comprende?

  3. The below text that begins ‘alford came to UCLA under’ is what I posted yesterday that got deleted by SW it ends at ‘nothin yet’ from bel-air tech’s blog site brewie’s country

UCLA looked unprepared for last night’s game against
Arizona. The team didn’t look like they belonged on the same court as the Wildcats.

    And, let’s face it.

Alford came to UCLA under slimy circumstances. No, I’m
not talking about the Pierre Pierce incident at Iowa. That should have disqualified him from being hired by UCLA in the first place.

I’m talking about how he had reached an agreement with
New Mexico on a contract extension days before taking the UCLA job whichshould have never been offered. It was slimy then and it’s still slimy now.

“But, we’re 29-4!” the Alford lovers exclaim.

That’s nice, but, exactly what has UCLA accomplished this year?

    Nothing yet.

    • Basketball, like many other sports, is about match ups. I think the Bruins make a run and go deep into the tourney. I think that they present challenges for anyone outside of the conference. I also hope the Trojans make the final four.

      • Maybe right per the former now as to the latter well miracles do happen but…..

Consider the state of ucla mens basketball in 2017. In 1976 John McKay moved on from USC football to the NFL and was replaced by John Robinson who a mere three seasons later secured a ‘nc’ but alas things began to unravel and by the Summer of 1982 he had also left for the NFL and thus the merry-go-round began. Ted Tollner 1982 – 1986 – Larry Smith 1987 – 1991 JR II 1992 – 1997 and finally Paul Hackett 1998 – 2000. Finally we got lightening in a bottle with Pete Carroll and got back-to-back NC’s (2003 – 2004) and were on the verge for a 3rd one in 2006.

My point? Harrick obtained a ‘NC’ for uca in 1995 and Howland got them close in the final four but frankly ucla is an after thought in 2017 just as IN since Bobby Knight thankfully left. Why is that? Why does an athletic director make a selection he had no business making i.e. Alford who was a distant 3rd after the VCU coach and I forget the other one declined Guerrero’s offer. USC fans have had to endure the frustration before and since Pete Carroll but I do know we expect to win and contend. If the Ball family and Lonzo in particular are the new NBA stars good luck. ucla’s problems are systemic and their chaos in making that one picl alone (Alford) is telling.

        • What is your point? ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Alvin got into the grape juice a bit early tonight.
Not much for you to talk about for 6 months, Al. It’s hibernation time for SoCal sports fans.

        • And meanwhile at Old SC, St Pat hires a nobody basketball coach while he and his family drain a local charity for green fee money. What IS your point?

    • And why would anyone listen to basketball analysis by a BoyTroy?
You haven’t seen enough good basketball to form an opinion.
It’s like listening to Pat Haden talk about women’s rights.
