We get emails and here is one from a USC fan who wants to go to the Providence game:
“I live in southwest Ohio, so naturally I am interested in seeing USC play Providence on Wednesday. However, as of Monday morning, I could not find any ticket information on the USC web site; in fact, according to USC’s own web site, USC and Providence are playing in Tulsa this Wednesday and not Dayton.
“Compare this to my other alma mater, Northwestern, which of course made the tournament for the first time ever. Almost immediately after the brackets were announced, Northwestern had deployed a splash page on their web site with links for ticket information, etc. Tweets went out, e-mails were sent; the school made it easy to purchase tickets or buy tournament gear. Maybe I’m on the wrong distributions, but I didn’t get anything from USC. Is this a lack of competence or a lack of caring?”
I think the football practice photo gallery is the only non-negative post on this page.
What a brutal year it’s been for Wolf. First SC wins the Rose Bowl and now they get into the big dance. Hang in there buddy, maybe baseball will suck again to perk you up.
Lulz. True. Worst case scenario for Scottie? Sweet 16.
The answer to your question is yes. It is a lack of competence and a lack of caring. But look over there… it is spring football and Sam Darnold in pads… now that’s a sport.
How’s my favorite moderator?
SC’s always been a super elite football program. It’s who we are. In hoops, we’re a mid-major. We’d rather play in the Rose Bowl than make the Final Four any day of the week.
Basketball in college is absolutely nothing until March Madness and you lose once and you’re out. Go Wildcats. Great draw I hear.
I hate the wildcats, my friend. They always take the best players away from the LA schools where they belong.
Mid major? You flatter yourself.
It is unfortunate and a big miss that there is not any ticket information on the USC site. But the site does list the game correctly (at least per ESPN) as being on Wed the 15th at 610 pm pst in Dayton. btw The womens 4 x400 m team set a collegiate record over the weekend. And the baseball team won also. Good weekend for the Trojans
The blogger will be “covering” the game from Pizza Hut.
usc athletics home page first banner ad is in regards to SC basketball making the tournament. it also states they will be playing providence in dayton. SC’s official twitter posted 22 hours ago as of 12:50pm PST that SC basketball had made the tourney and would be playing providence in dayton. northwestern atheltics home page also features an ad stating they are in the tournament playing vandy. no mention of tickets other than a general link at the top of the page which then let’s you select a NW sport. upon clicking basketball, you are redirected to a new page that states “there are no events or items on sale at this time”. SC’s essentially says the same thing. i checked on our good friends in baby blue and their site only provides an option to purchase tickets for season ticket holders and donors. even then it redirects to ticketmaster. all told, it appears schools aren’t the ones selling tickets, that would be the big brokers. a simple google search of usc basketball tickets brings up stubhub, seatgeek and the like. simple research is too much to ask for on this site i guess
This is an NCAA event, you get tickets through the NCAA using Ticketmaster. $70 will get you decent seats for Wednesday.
Don’t confuse people with the facts. Please.
Facts mess up a good, Scottie narrative.
I have friends in baby blue but they’re no good.
Further proof that Basketball means zero at SoCal.
Getting to the basketball games is easy if you are committed.

Funny how they found tickets and flights all on their own…
Upon self reliance…
