USC Quick Thought

I’ve seen the USC-Providence game as even by some oddsmakers. I think USC should be favored but does anyone trust Andy Enfield, or for that matter, Jordan McLaughlin, in a last-minute situation?

  1. I don’t have a problem with Enfield. I do have issues with J-Mac in last minute, pressure situations.

  2. Just don’t get in a last-minute situation. Put them away early. Fight On!

  3. I trust Jordan, no issues there. It’s Boatwright that scares me in the last minute.

  4. To the NCAAs twice in a row. Let’s give Enfield and his boys a big, big hand. Perhaps this has set a precedent in SC basketball lore

I mean, Enfield had to basically rebuild this team from last year, and he got the boys into the big Dance–again.

Now, can they make some noise?– It seemed they were better with Boatwright out. They were more of a team, and they had a lot of energy and movement. They were fun to watch. With Boatwright, he seems content to sit outside and wait for the ball, and then try one of his 3-pointers which hits the mark about 1 time out of 3. And then his 3 rebounds in 30 minutes is not much of a help. I liked the team better without him.

  5. SoCal should win this game handily
At the same time, don’t expend too much energy because you may need it, no, you will need it for the next game so don’t get too tight or nervous and play at 100% except when you don’t have to because that next game will be really, really tough.
On second thought, don’t worry if you lose, everyone knows you think you’re a football school.
    Don’t embarrass the conference.

    • jmex,

It’s so obvious you’re trying not to think about your team’s diminishing NCAA outlook by spending all your time here. Two weeks ago you were sure you were going to the final 4 and now you’re more concerned with USC.
      You’re whistling in the graveyard.

      • Watch him begin ‘channeling’ woodie the peckerhead …’Oh Woodrow thou art the god of all….rise up and vanquish all who would besmirsch your fraudulent glory…..ahhhhh oooommmmmm where’s jonnie?’

        • Andy does not pay for winning. It cost Wooden/Gilbert about a $3 million to pay for all of the players they had. Remember, their payroll was bigger than the Lakers at that time.

          • Yeah man I remember (forget which bruin player it was) amazed at the sum he was signing for playing in the NBA as a rookie. Chump change compared to what Sammy provided

  6. Scooter, can we trust you in the last minute? What time is the game and on what channel will the game be on? Information is more important than speculation.
